Part 2

The next morning, Raghav woke up early and leaned over to check on Pallavi. She was still sleeping. He made sure to turn her head on the side and pull her blanket over. He got up, showered and got ready, then went downstairs to get breakfast for Pallavi. Amma was in the kitchen so he greeted her to which she looked up and smiled but went about making the Aloo Parathas which were Pallavi’s favorite. He went and got the tray out, poured orange juice in the glass and went to check on the tea. Amma seemed a little preoccupied.

Raghav touched her shoulder and asked, “Amma aap thik ho?”

She nodded and said, “haa…mujhe Pallavi ki chinta hai, woh bahut kuch saaha hai, mujhe itna bura lagraha he.”

Raghav nodded and said, “Amma, aap jaante ho ke Pallavi ka dil bahut bada hai, woh kabhi bhi dil pe kuch nahi rakhti aur naaraz to bilkul nahi hoti.”

Amma nodded and said, “haa aur iss baat ka hamne faida uthaya…woh sahi nahi tha, Raghav. Usne hame bahut baar kaha ke uski fault nahin hai, lekin maine uski baat hi nahi sunhi.”

Raghav nodded and didn’t say anything. He was feeling equally bad and he would definitely make up for it.

Just then Naidu ran into the kitchen shouting, “Anna, Pallavi Madam uthgayi hai, aur neeche aarahi hai.”

“Kya…”Raghav shouted, “who Saree Ka Dukaan kabhi bhi baat nahi sunhegi kisi ki.” He ran upstairs just as she was about to step down.

He quickly put his hand out as she looked wobbly and was about to fall. He gently lifted her and noticed she wasn’t arguing. He went back to his room and placed her on the bed. He was about to yell at her for her stupidity when she said meekly, “Sorry! Me bulgayi” Raghav heeved a sigh of relief. He had got there just in time otherwise she would have fallen. His heart was racing and he tried to breath in and out to calm himself.

He just nodded and told her to rest and he would bring her breakfast. Just then Amma walked in with the tray and Pallavi sat up, “Amma, aap ne kyun takleef ki, Naidu ko bejdete.”

Amma smiled and said, “haa bejsakti lekin phir mai tumhe kaise milti? Acha abh tum yeh khalo, poora nashta khana hai, Raghav tum dyaan rakhna.”

Raghav nodded but was still feeling restless. Pallavi reached for his hand and he felt the calmness come over him. He took the tray from his Amma and put it on the night table. He then broke apart the paratha, dipped it in the raita and fed Pallavi. She looked at him shocked to see him feeding her. He just nodded and didn’t say a word. After a few mins, she looked up and put out her hand for tea. She drank some and announced that she was full. Raghav looked at the plate and realized she had only eaten half the paratha. He looked up questioningly and she said, “Im full, cannot eat more, maybe later.” He nodded and got her medicines. After that he fluffed up her pillows and reset her blanket. She looked at him and said, “Raghav, mujhe thoda walk karna hai, please.” He started to shake his head but she looked so damn cute with her puppy dog face and pouty lips that he couldn’t refuse. He helped her stand and led her to his gym. They walked around for a bit when he noticed that she was starting to drag a bit and wobble around. He walked over to the table and pulled out one of the chairs. He helped her sit and got himself a seat as well.

He then took her hand in his and said, “Pallavi, mujhe pata nahi me kahan se shuru karu, I just want to say I’m sorry.”

Pallavi reached for his face and cupped his cheeks. She looked into his eyes and said, “kisliye?”

He looked at her to see if she was teasing him but she was serious. “woh keerti ke liye?”

“Keerti ne kya kiya?” she asked

“Keerti ne nahi,maine.” He said

‘oh accha, phir batao tumhe kya kiya ?” she asked

“maine tumhe accuse kiya tha keerti ki shaadi ke liye.” He realized she wasn’t making it easy for him but he also knew he had to say what he was feeling.

He continued, “Im sorry Pallavi, I accused you of helping Keerti run away and get married. I blamed you and said that you did it all when in fact it was not your fault at all. Keerti is a grown woman and she would have found a million other ways to run away and get married. I shouldn’t have said all that to you. Im really sorry, please mujhe maaf kardo.”

Pallavi took his hands in hers and said, “Maine tumhe kab kamaaf kardiya, Raghav.”

He shook his head and said, “tum itna acha kyun hai?”

Pallavi just smiled and said, “mei aise hi hoon, kissi ke saath gussa nahi rehsakti aur kissi ke saath galath hota hua nahin dekhsakti.”

He nodded and reached to hug her. She leaned in and rested her head on his chest. This was her safe haven. No matter what happened, her husband will always be there for her.

She noticed he had started talking, “I don’t know what to do with this Sunny? He is taking over our house. You know I asked the driver to pick you from work but Keerti and Sunny took the driver and went clubbing. Also I had asked the cook to keep a plate of food for you but Sunny took it even though they had already eaten and cook said it was for you. I could kill that guy especially when I saw you eating just bread and butter. I was so mad.”

In the midst of this, Pallavi thought, “my ghamandi rao hadn’t forgotten me, he did send a car and he did keep food for me even though he was upset with me, he could never see me hurt or go hungry.”

Raghav continued, “Pallavi, we need to think of something to get rid of Sunny.”

Amma walked in just then saying, “yeh abh thoda mushkil hoga.”

Both Raghav and Pallavi looked at Amma questioningly

“Kyunki Keerti pregnant hai.”

Pallavi almost fell off the chair. Raghav quickly pulled her back and secured her in his arms.

“Yeh kya keh rahe ho Amma.”

Amma went on to explain what she had seen at the hospital. All three looked shocked and bewildered. What were they going to do now? Raghav looked at the two of them and said, “I don’t care, Keerti will not be with that guy. I will raise the child as mine. She will have me, she doesn’t need Sunny.”

Pallavi took his hand in her and said, “US, she will have us all, but Raghav, she doesn’t know Sunny’s reality so she will never agree to this. We have to show her his reality, that is what I was trying to say to you. We need to get on her good side and make her believe that we have made peace with her marriage and we are ready to accept it and then we need to do all the rituals and functions and call Sunny’s parents and have them join us as well and then we do the Vidaai and send her off. And before you say anything, we wont in reality, but by then she will see what he is like and she will be the one sending him off.”

Amma looked at Pallavi and nodded, “Haan, I think Pallavi is right, but Raghav you don’t change overnight and become all sweet. You should still stay upset and either Pallavi and I will try and talk like we are making you understand and first maybe Pallavi can talk to me when we see Keerti near so she can hear that Pallavi is trying to help us understand etc. Then she will believe it. “

Pallavi nodded but Raghav looked skeptical. “I don’t know about this. Pallavi do you even have any proof or anything that we can look into or find anything about what he is like?”

Pallavi answered, “Well, we can start by having him followed and then look into his background. He said his parents have split up and live separately so let’s see if that is the truth.”

Raghav nodded, “I can get my men to look into that and I will also get my police friend to dig up dirt on Sunny. But first of all Pallavi, you need to take care of yourself first. We will wait a couple of days while my men dig up something so that you can also have rest and then we will work on this. Before that, nothing should be done. I will not compromise your health, Ardha Mainda."

They all looked at each other nodded and shook hands. They were in this together. They will get rid of Sunny, if not today or tomorrow, then definitely soon enough.

I so wish this happened in the show ❤️

I wish they had focussed on Keerti and Sunny first and then moved on to the whole morals vs ethics drama. Right now everything is such a mess
