How should Vijay have reacted to Raghav paying for Sharada's surgery?

We all know the situation: Raghav broke up Pallavi's family and failed to win them back; he genuinely likes some Deshmukhs and tries to protect Vijay; but numerous misunderstandings and Raghav's habit of insulting them to their faces have made it humiliating for Vijay to ask Raghav for anything. Vijay insists on earning his own money, rejecting even Nikhil's earnings from the shop because Pallavi owns it, and feuding with Milind just to avoid taking his support. Last night, Raghav made a drunken scene at Vijay's door, shouting out his love for Pallavi and the pet names that they call each other, while Vijay forcibly kept Pallavi from Raghav and tried to reclaim her for Mandar.

Now, Vijay is unable to afford surgery to save Sharada's life, and Raghav has said that he will pay for everything.

How do you think Vijay should have reacted? Feel free to choose based on what's right, what's dramatic, love for your favourite character etc. Have I missed any options (e.g. apology + drinking foot-wash)? All replies are welcome.

I think his reaction on the show was spot on for that moment. He won't accept Raghav (yet) but has no option other than to accept the money temporarily.

Vijay should understand why Raghav did it

He is Pallavi's husband and sharada is his mother in law

He just doesn't address sharada as Mother in law he considers her as his Mother in law as his aayi

Vijay should respect his feelings id not the man

You want to pay him back do so put it nicely my wife my responsibility I will return the money

I agree that Vijay should understand Raghav's feelings. Maybe Vijay does believe that Raghav is sincere, but he can't be expected to approve until he forgives Raghav.

I think, "I'll pay you back as soon as possible" is nicer, being more neutral than "My wife, my responsibility," which implies that Raghav has no right to think, "My Āī, my responsibility."

Of course, in this discussion we'll have to pretend that we didn't see the September 2-3 episodes, which have shown Raghav's regard for Sharada to be rather superficial. He was about to shoot and kill her son in front of her, and Pallavi didn't even point out to him how much that would have hurt Sharada and the whole family. Raghav even joked that Sharada must have had romance in her life. Well, you were about to kill a living symbol of her love, Raghav!

I think what he's doing is right. If Raghav was not Pallavi's husband then he would have told the guy who lend the money and give him back as soon as possible.

I dont think he should remember it everytime he insults Raghav.

But there should be some level of acceptance of the fact that Raghav has helped them.

I don’t want VD to return the money back nor does Raghav will take because he loves aai too .. we all very well know he didn’t do to take it back ..

I get irritated when you can’t give basic respect and on top of it keeps on blaming him and his family ..

Mandaar is worse than Raghav .. can’t he see that .. but still he is right and Raghav is wrong 😑 why ?

Anyways as I said most selfish and hypocrite man on the planet … 😡 no redemption can change my opinion about him ..

My pov..vijay is beyond any redemption, I can give benefit of doubt to keeri and give her a chance to redeem but not VD...

The day he shouted at raghav during vrat savitri claiming pallavi to be his DIL and not letting pallavi meet raghav by locking the door the next day, he has lost my respect, and don't think he deserves any either.. he is hypocrite and selfish to core, has no respect for woman ...and I don't think any of his reaction or action would change my mind

I had mentioned in some other post , I was really shocked at his audacity to speak to Jaya the way he did in yesterday's episode...why did u call Raghav's family ?? Like really...this is same man who few days ago saved ur wife's life and the same woman who understood ur plight and let her daughter in law stay in the same house under same room where her ex is staying...which MIL or husband would be so understanding and supportive , however modern they are...still VD instead of showing gratitude towards them, is throwing attitude at them...I wish jaya had given him back then and there..

Raghav is a gem and kudos to his upbringing he still promises to take care of VD, had I been in his place I would care a hoot about this man ...I can go on and on on VD but right now at work..so will stop here...

I really think Vijay should remember that he owes Raghav a lot of money. But despite that i want him to maybe not become friends per se but start to accept.

So for example after this whole Mandhar scenario and not sure what will happen to Mandhar, raghav saves pallavi or maybe aai will come with wheelchair and knock mandhar from back and he falls. Anyway after this when pallavi is leaving and saying bye to all, she says bye to baba and he holds her hand while raghav holds the other so she thinks baba will refuse to let her go but he surprises her and puts her hand in Raghav’s hand. Then he folds his hand and nods. No words needed. Raghav too folds his hand and gives a slight nod. Then they leave. Pallavi smiling and happy. All done. Lol
