Mr. Don
"Pallavi Deshmukh!"
The name echoed in the Deshmukh House as if a thunderbolt hit the house.
It was very late at night, all the Deshmukhs were preparing to go to sleep. But one roar of Pallavi's former name jolted all of them to hurry out of their rooms.
"Kaha hain tum! Bahar niklo, Pallavi Deshmukh!" He roared again.
Pallavi came out from Sharda's room along with her. She was shocked to see Raghav in such an intoxicated state.
He was looking down, had one hand extended to take the support of a pillar and an almost empty bottle of liquor in his other.
Pallavi stepped towards him and yelled back, "Yeh kya bakwas kar rahe ho tum, Raghav?"
He looked up and his bloodshot eyes met with the angry ones of her. He let out a mocking laugh and walked towards her. "Bakwas kaheka? Yehi toh tum chahta tha na? Chalo, de diya tumhe!"
"Raghav, tum abhi nashe mein ho. Hum baad mein baat karenge. Thik hain?" She held his arm.
"Nehi!" He jerked her hand off. "Main nashe mein nehi, ab jake toh mera nasha utra hain!"
"Raghav Rao! Mere ghar mein...." Vijay started but was cut short by Raghav.
"Sanki Buddhe, ekdam chup! Aaj ek shabd bhi nehi. Tujhe main tera bahu lauta raha hain aaj. Chup-chap khara reh waha!" He snapped his fingers and gestured Vijay to step back.
"Haan, toh, Pallavi Deshmukh... Aaj main maanta hoon ki tum sach mein acting mein gold medal pane ke layak hain."
"Raghav, tum pagal ho chuke ho! Kya bol rahe ho yeh sab?" Pallavi questioned again.
"Arreh! Tumko ab aur acting karna zarurat nehi hain. Mujhe sab samajh aagaya hain."
He came dangerously close to her. She felt tiny in front of his towering figure.
"Tum shuru se hi mere se badla lena chahta tha na? Isi liye mera saath pyaar ka natak kiya na tumne?" He accused her. "Congrats! Tumne successfully mujhe barbaad kardia hain." He clapped enthusiastically and turned to the others, "Arreh, tum sab bhi tali bajao na. Tumhara ghar ka bahu ne tum sab ka badla le liya hain merese."
With tears flowing uncontrollably, she hugged him tightly with all her might. "Raghav, please..."
He clasped both her arms very roughly and separated her from himself. "Tumhe tumhara asli farz..." He glared at Mandar and held her mangalsutra in between two of his fingers, "....aur nakli pyaar mein kisi ek ko chunn mei bohot problem horaha tha na? Iss liye maine socha tumhara choice aasan kardeta hain."
In a split second, Raghav did the unimaginable. He snatched the mangalsutra off of her neck. Pallavi's eyes widened as if they will pop out of their sockets any moment.
"What the hell, Raghav!" She yelled and held his collars with both hands, "Ye kya kiya tumne?"
He smirked but didn't say anything. He raised the liquor bottle and poured it on her head, liquifying her sindoor. She couldn't believe what was happening. Her sindoor was trailing down her nose while blood grazed down her neck from where she was hurt when he snatched her mangalsutra.
Before she could react, he slammed the liquor bottle on the ground just beside them and grasped her left hand. "Tumhe ab inn sab ki zarurat nehi," he said in a shockingly calm voice and removed the ring he had given her.
Pallavi was so shocked that she felt like she has lost her voice. Other occupants of the household were literally frozen in their places. Never in their wildest dreams, they had imagined witnessing a scene as such. Luckily, Amruta had informed Farhad and he reached the scene.
"Le, Mandar Deshmukh, ye raha tera biwi...Pallavi Deshmukh. Aur, Vijay Deshmukh, rakh apna ghar ka bahu ko apna paas." Raghav said while taking backward steps.
After reaching the threshold, he turned his back on them and that is when emotions of sadness and hurt overcame his angry expression. But those emotions were witnessed by Farhad only.
"Farhad, humesha yaad rakhna... Jo ekbar pyaar ko janle, pyaar usska jaan le." Raghav said to him before dropping down.
Farhad supported his Anna and slightly nodded at Amruta to let her know that he'll take care.
