Which cake would you like to eat? the left one is the Very Bery Cake which just missed the taste of berries by a bit and the right one has kiwi,coffee,chillies and pineapple where the chillies are overpowering.Sachin didn't deserve this!

@ bold - well u don’t have to make. She was in Mumbai for a good 2+ months. She could have just purchased it and ate it.
It may or may not be true to claim she has never eaten non egg white based mac but why make such statements on a reality show?
Her job is just to taste and tell if it is good or not good. Whatever be the base of the cream biscuit, kane mein acha hai to acha hai. Otherwise find what is wrong & tell that. Drama ki kya zaroorat hai?

When chef Pooja made em taste the cake, Aruna was seen eating the cake toh not sure if she ate an eggless version aur woh dikaya nahi hoga or something scripted for their show. 😂

So much bashing has she got, but she has the highest amount of Insta followers 😲 among the MCI contestants. Nayan has the second highest. And the great news, after seeing this I unfollowed her immediately. Uske followers badhne mein mera koi haath nai hai 🤣🤣🤣

The whole cake & macron challenge was so meh.
They had no idea how conduct the semi finals week. So it was a pastry challenge week like I said earlier. The judges gave Pooja an intro like she chose India after training in France. Le Cordon Bleu is the biggest for pastry. Many of them train from there. No big deal about coming back to India. Her life her career.
This episode has a lot of OTT for me.
1. on top of the list is the contestants bts! Aruna’s bak bak! Shabba shut up for once no if u are asked to talk 10 times.
2. Garima’s speech on how she used to call Pooja for ingredient substitution during lockdown. Yo lady, google nam ki kuch cheese hai. Also I remember when in initial episodes she talked about not getting all the Indian ingredients & they sub them to make the dish. Stick to one narration people. This looks like they have no clue on what they have spoken in earlier episodes & Pooja did not even reciprocate Garima’s tareef. She smiled big only when Vikas introduced her.
3. There was absolutely no need for tasting Pooja’s cake. The contestants were not going to re-create it. They could have told just use Amul dark chocolate and make a cake, macron. As simple as that.
4. Garima claiming aquafaba macron is close to egg white meringue mac & she does not miss the original mac bla bla. Aquafaba is the closest to egg white when whipped which is why it is so big in Vegan world & with those who are allergic to eggs. You don’t need to be anyone specialised in the field of pastry to know that. Google zindabad, so is YT.
5. Shanta’s blue. It was so jarring. How much colour she used? That blue would have 90% stained the lips, tongue. I am not claiming I am a 100% healthy eating person but that was a little too much colour.
6. Aruna’s ganache. It was so thick. I am wondering how could she spread it. Her layers were also very thick.
7. Ranveer claiming Sachin’s cake to be ordinary. What was so extra ordinary in Pooja’s cake? She had hazelnut praline for crunch. So basically Nutella filling but different textures.
What I liked -
Pooja’s cake ka decoration, Sachin’s ombre effect frosting & Suvarna’s cake. Suvarna has proved time and again that she is a flavour queen. She is very strong when she is focussed. Ranveer & Garima helped her but overall, she is a flavour 👸 Initial episodes I didn’t like her much but now she is slaying like it is no body’s business. I don’t mind if she wins the trophy.
Overall, this challenge was just to promote the sponsors, introduce Pooja to those who didn’t know her, promote Aruna’s eggless macron & mainly eliminate Sachin. He took the elimination in stride.

I found it weird when Garima said they don’t get many Indian ingredients in Bangkok. I’ve lived in two countries with a relatively small Indian population and have had no trouble getting Indian groceries. She lives in Bangkok, for God’s sake she should stop lieing. Bangkok is filled with Indians and half the stuff we use is anyway similar!
I’m surprised at her reaction to aquafaba macarons. I remember in a previous season of Masterchef (I think season for; contestant Nikita), a contestant used aquafaba. And I do think she made macarons (I can be wrong with her dish). Even if not, her reaction was unnecessary.
Pooja Dhingra needs little to no introduction - she’s fairly popular, and honestly I don’t think she’s as close to Garima as Garima made it sound. And I say so from Pooja’s expressions.
Also didn’t Garima go to Les Roche/ Cordon Bleu herself? What a waste of her time there if she has to call another chef to recommend substitutes.
Clearly this was designed to eliminate Sachin, who was the best in the last two challenges (the dish with the mithai ingredients and cake). But of course if someone raises an issue, the response will be you couldn’t taste it.
As much as I love Shanta, I wouldn’t have tasted her cake - such a mish mash of flavours. And chilli in cake is a no no for me. Aruna’s cake was ugly.
Sachin became a scapegoat to save Aruna. But I’m loving the relationships he’s formed on the show. More power to him
