When you point a finger at me there are four fingers pointing right back at you
Yes, this is the situation with Vidya and Devyani
They both point fingers at Aditya and Uttara and accuse them of being shades if not exactly like Brahma
Why?
because both Aditya and Uttara are passionate, determined and vocal
Yes they have done wrongs because their passion had blinded them
But they have also done right when the blinders were off (which is more often than on)
The very characteristics of Aditya and Uttara that Vidya and Devyani so callously and casually play down are the things that make them stand out as people
their passion shows that they can put up the most valiant fight for what is right once they believe in it
their vocal nature helps them stand out against wrong people, things and choices with no fear for societal reactions and consequences
they are survivors and that in itself is an admirable trait
Devyani the most righteous woman in this household and her protegees Vidya
the fountain of accusations and criticisms and home-hitting truths
Yet, what have they achieved? Nothing
What have they stood for? Nothing
What have they set right? Nothing
Both these chest thumping and ghazal singing duo have
enabled wrong doers from the start to do wrongs against them
held back their own champions with useless promises that have come back to bite all of them in their hinney time and time again
solved no problems just created new ones
they are manipulators and enablers and that is a horrible set of values
So I say to them
if Aditya and Uttara resemble Brahma it is because they are resourceful and honest survivors - calling a spade a spade and egolessly accepting their fates
but Vidya and Devyani resemble Brahma because they are shameless manipulators - in spite of their soft toned pleas and their passive body language
People in glass houses should not throw stones and this is a valuable lesson that both Devyani and Vidya need to learn pronto - especially at the cross road they find themselves at - alone and mission unknown
