Plays a Tirupati Balaji devotee in Man Mein Hai Vishwas
Dolly Sohi has extended her vacation in Mumbai. The actress, who shifted base to Victoria (Canada) post marriage, will join software engineer hubby Avneet Dhanowa back home only in mid-May. She was earlier supposed to return this month.
And the reason is not only to spend time with her folks here but also a professional one — she has landed a role in Dheeraj Kumar's Man Mein Hain Vishwas. "It's an interesting show. It takes a look at people's faith and beliefs.
I play the role of a woman who's a staunch believer in Tirupati Balaji and the story follows what extraordinary situations unfold in her life."
Nostalgic
Dolly, who has been in Mumbai since mid-January, earlier did a comeback role in the afternoon soap Bhabhi. This Star drama had her as the protagonist till she relocated to Canada in December 2005.
"As UTV (the producers) knew I was in Mumbai, they approached me to be back in the scheme of things. I shot with them for 10 days. It was an enjoyable experience."
Dolly has also been travelling to hometown Punjab. My brother Surendra got engaged to an Amritsar-based girl.
There was all the shopping to do. The wedding is by the year-end. So I will be back with my husband for the wedding."
