Aditya is shocked to see Madhurima out of coma. Madhu tells him that she had bribed the doctor to declare her comatose. Madhu was writing those letters while no one was in the room. She was also able to rope in Ajay (by paying him of course) who gave her proofs which she then mailed to Aditya. She tells Aditya about what all she went through at the hands of Shikha. Aditya is infuriated with Shikha's truth & vows to convert back into Sameer Verman to teach her a lesson again. Aditya apologizes to Madhurima & admits he made a mistake by falling in love with Shikha. Madhu forgives him & tells him that Shikha played the 'divide & rule' policy to target them & now they must join hands to kill her. They both decide to throw her off from the same cliff today itself since it's also her birthday.
At the Jagannath mansion, unaware of Adi-Rima's new mission, Samaira is busy thinking about Neeraj's confession about his love.
In the morning, Samaira wakes up to a bouquet of flowers kept near her bed. Aditya enters the room & sings 'Happy Birthday' song. Samaira is confused as to how he knew it was her birthday today. He replies that he's a learnt a lot about her lately & she can no longer keep any secrets from him. He surprises her further by gifting her a red saree (Uhh oh, the infamous laal saree is back ). Samaira is confused to see the saree. Aditya tells her that she will look very pretty in it. He tells her that as an additional surprise, he's going to take her to Panchgani (a hill station) since they weren't able to go to their honeymoon. Samaira remembers it's the same place where she was thrown off that cliff. She asks Aditya if they can take Arnav along & he agrees. Samaira thinks to herself how this would be a perfect opportunity to kill Aditya.
She changes into the red saree & arrives downstairs in the living room where everyone wishes her a 'Happy Birthday'. Mohonto had promised to gift her Arnav's custody incase Madhu doesn't recover from her coma. So, Mohonto fulfills his promise & gifts Samaira Arnav's official custody. Samaira expresses her gratitude & thinks to herself how she's finally arrived at the last step of her mission to teach Aditya a lesson. Aditya thinks how she is elated at being declared Arnav's mother & how her happiness won't last long. As she's about to sign the official custody documents, they hear a noise from Madhu's room. They all rush to her room where the nurse tells them that Madhu moved her hand & knocked down the IV pole. Mohonto is happy to know that his daughter is slowly recovering from her coma. Madhu moves her hand at first & then opens her eyes & starts talking. Mahanto is happy to see her recovered. Samaira grows anxious as she wasn't able to sign Arnav's custody papers. The nurse tells them to leave the room so she can assess Madhu.
Downstairs, Mahanto tells Samaira that he can no longer grant her the custody since Madhurima has recovered now. Samaira is disheartened & tries to convince him & tells him how she has cared for Arnav more than Madhu ever did. Madhurima overhears their conversation & pretends to suffer from short term amnesia where she's forgotten Aditya's marriage to Samaira. She makes a fuss about Mohonto giving Aditya to 'doosri aurat' (Samaira) & protests that she won't let him give away Arnav. Samaira informs her that she is not some 'doosri aurat' as she has legally married Aditya. Samaira says that Arnav calls her 'Maa' (mother) & loves her more than he loves Madhu. Madhu continues her drama & pleads to them that she doesn't want to lose her son. She pretends to faint while asserting her right over Arnav. Aditya carries her to the room.
At the Gupta residence, everyone prays for Shikha's safety.
Back at the Jagannath mansion, Madhurima flees taking Arnav along. Aditya pretends to be surprised while Samaira is shocked.
