Positives -

1) Drooling at SRJ and Pooja, individually, and as a duo. The chemistry is off-the-charts, and the acting is amazing!

2) The heart behind the show. Women empowerment

3) The idea of Parvati searching out her own origins. Hopefully, this means it will be a finite show.

4) I love Parvati's clothes and makeup.

5) Patal looks awesome!πŸ˜† Shumbh is pretty hot, if I may say so.

Negatives -

1) Mahakali's walk. Give her a little dignity, please 😊 She doesn't need to stomp. She can be powerful without acting masculine. And that, too, drunkenly masculine.

2) Would prefer shorter hair on Shiva, but that's my personal preference

3) Same for the severed heads and arms on Kali's costume

4) You don't have to hammer in equal rights πŸ˜† with so much melodrama. Show, don't tell. Less is more. I can't think of other cliches right now.

5) Would love to see more natural-looking sets. I saw the Porus promo, so why not the same attention to Kali?

6) Please, don't make Narayan a wuss. Why does he have to say "Yeh kya ho raha Hain, Mahadev?" with every other breath? Also, he needs better makeup.

7) Ditto for the devis. Arre, they're devis for a reason. Don't make them ditzes.

8) Give SRJ some training in classical dance, please. He's got natural grace, so he'll be a fast learner, I think.

@bold 1 i had the same firsr thoughts when i saw a back shot if Shiva in first epi. I was like he have better hair tgan any devi including Parvathi
@italics I wont mind the hands and head coz i dont know why but ut didnt give much of a gross feeljng since Mahakaali is like that.. its the raudra roop.. it will be vikral and terrifying
@bold 2 too much of verbal fight i between the fight.. its like watching a night if Arnab going on and on over women power.. at one point i was like i got it.. now move on whats next..

@5 yup.. CGI need to be more careful. I dont know if anybody noticed or not.. we could see the plus signs of the green background un between those fire flames animation

@6 to be honest this has to be less appealing vishu i have ever come across. N tht ujala soaked makeup makes it worse and i feel he is kinda uncertain of most things and also non confident. vishu knew things n knew what has to be done.

@7 devis were damsels in distress.. n tht frame behind them was kinda pheewww... I think i have seen it somewhere else also.. but tht takes off the entire prettiness of the look. I loved parvati's head gear..

@8 i m not sure but i heard ge is actually a trained dancer.. (somebody clarify)

I got you covered in cliches Priyamvada.
Haste makes waste.
The writing on the wall.
What goes around comes around.
When you have lemons, make lemonade.
All that glitters is not gold.
Less talk, more action.
Babe in the woods. πŸ˜†
Barking up the wrong tree.
Better safe than sorry.
Crystal clear.
Don't count your chickens before they hatched.
Enough to piss off old Popey.
Look before you leap.
Whole nine yards.

I loved the show . All the actors are awesome. I have seen saurabh Raj Jain as Vishnu in Mahadev & Krishna in Mahabharata. But to see him portray Mahadev is a big surprise for me.and yes he is doing fantastic. I wasn't sure whether I will like him as Mahadev (after watching Mohit Raina in Mahadev). But he cleared my all doubts. Pooja is also very very good.all cast, songs, lyrics, dialogues are good.i didn't like nandis get up. But A very good mythological show after much awaited tim.πŸ‘πŸ‘. isn't there any fb fanpage of this show ?

2) The heart behind the show. Women empowerment. I kind of felt they were going a bit overboard, and Shani had used similar dialogues on another mythological by the same producer and that too on Colors.πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

3) The idea of Parvati searching out her own origins. Hopefully, this means it will be a finite show. Searching for origins is fine, I wish she wouldn't look so clueless though.😲

4) I love Parvati's clothes and makeup. Pooja does look stunning.⭐️

5) Patal looks awesome! Shumbh is pretty hot, if I may say so. The Asuras look like they are not from patal lok, but Disney Fairy tale witches or something.. The get up and everything is way too much.

Negatives -

1) Mahakali's walk. Give her a little dignity, please She doesn't need to stomp. She can be powerful without acting masculine. And that, too, drunkenly masculine. Completely agree on this one..πŸ‘

4) You don't have to hammer in equal rights with so much melodrama. Show, don't tell. Less is more. I can't think of other cliches right now. A bit too modern, in my opinion.. they need to come up with valid arguments regarding the same. Regarding equal rights, women were much revered and powerful during those times. Looking down upon women is still a modern concept.πŸ˜•

All the Devtas and tridev in DKDM were way better. The way they showed it makes sense. Here it looks like things are just happening and without much reason to it. All the Devis looking helpless made no sense to me. Narayan looks too blue. The makers have gone all Ujala on him.πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

7) Ditto for the devis. Arre, they're devis for a reason. Don't make them ditzes.

Methinks, the creative team needs to really work on this. Also, the plot line could be much better. The scenes sometimes seem to be coming from nowhere. They should also work on giving proper character to other Gods and Goddesses. They seem lacking in purpose here.

I think, the concept of Divinity is missing.

All the Devis and other Devtas running helter skelter.. and confused Narayana is robbing the show of divine and all-knowing quality of Mahadev and Lord Vishnu .. and it needs to be there... else they will end up looking like humans with magic powers.

For making Shivji and Parvati Devi create.. they are seriously compromising on other Gods and Goddesses.

I honestly do not think SRJ is suitable for Shiva's role, but as the casting is done I suppose there's nothing anyone can do, but he can be improved. Please remove his beard and all that feminine makeup. Give him unruly locks, and have someone work on his expressions so that he looks and talks more like Mahadev than as Vishnu/Krishna. If these things are improved, I think we can get used to SRJ as Shiva.

I agree about the women empowerment. The main reason why so many of these latest mythos fall short of their presentation is that half of the 'women issues' they show were nonexistent in the ancient times, and are in fact more prevalent in current society. So for the Devis to suffer like common women today do is weird and doesn't look good onscreen.

Also, the message should be subtle to look more convincing. People don't have to say 'women's rights are important!" every other dialogue. That just because annoying and has a preachy feel to it, which no one likes. Rather, it would be more meaningful to show Mahadev treat Parvathi as his equal (which he did) and the dialogues to be more subtle so that women empowerment comes off in a believable manner.

I love Pooja as Parvathi, but can the character please be not shown in extremes? She is extremely docile as Parvathi and totally masculine as Mahakali. Why can't there be an in-between? Why can't Parvathi be shown smiling, happy and serene, and Mahakali also with grace? The characterization needs to improve dramatically.

Watch Saturday's episode and got bored about half-way to three-quarters of the way through. All those eyelocks, slow plot, weird walking, dumb Narayan dialogues, horribly designed Narayan character, etc. got to me. I wasn't even sure I wanted to watch episode 4 after that.
Beyond Pooja and SRJ, the only person I'm really liking is Nikita Sharma who plays Lakshmi. Good casting choice there.

Then again, with SidT, I personally don't think that he knows how to introduce a show and its concept.

Taking the very first two episodes - he could have skipped all that "abla naari" bullshit, and for fark's sake, he could have done away with the asuras getting an advantage on trying to molest / rape the goddesses.

Also, Kali's screams are starting to irritate me. I get she's super pissed off, but her screams come off as well .. the same. I'd like to see some more darkness to Kali's nature, have her screams differ depending on her enemy. At first it felt like she was angry, but then it just seems like Kali is going through some tough times and has a ton of mental pressure built up inside of her.

Give the Kali-side of the character some more roundness, rather than being this blunt extreme destruction lady. Have her glances symbolize her anger, have her speech represent her frustration. That scene where she lectures the goddesses, she was screaming in full rage mode. No. Just no.

I agree that SRJ needs to lose the beard and get a little trim.

Vishnu - all together is a joke. The way he speaks, the stuff he says, his coloring - what were the CVs thinking. Shiva is karpura-gauram, but I don't see SRJ doused in Fair and Lovely paste. If the actor can pull off the color, great ; otherwise scrape it. In this case, Vishnu is a blue - probably the worst color . Darken the hue a bit (make it more dusky) and I think he can do good color wise. But he needs to work on his dialogues.

Overall, it's an okay show. Hopefully the story-telling improves over time.

Honestly speaking the show's visualisation is very poor. The animation is not good and it looks like they have put less effort as well as money into the show. The sets for DKDMD and MB was far better and even Shani had a better visualisation.

Kali's walk was kinda annoying. They could have lessened the effect and sounds. Even the animation with Kali killing demons was very bad. The video quality was very very poor.

Character portrayal was bad too. Devis are shown so helpless and their looks are horrible too. What happened to the mukuts and all? And why the hell does Lakshmi wear that weird thing on her back like Shani's mother? The makers have tried to modernise the outfits and looks and failed miserably. And poor Vishnu! His blue is one of a kind. πŸ˜†
And Vishnu is childlike here. He keeps complaining and it's like Shiva has to keep explaining to him. It's weird to see Vishnu so clueless. πŸ˜†
Not only women empowerment but the dialogue "Anth hi Arambh hai" is stressed too much too. It's repeated many times and its get annoying. We get that's your shows name but you don need to keep using it after like every other dialogue. πŸ˜•πŸ˜†
