Lets use a little logic here.

Drona teaching Karna all the divyastra's like Agniastra, Vayuastra, Indrastra and denying him to teach Brahmashira makes it highly illogical.

Now lets apply a little logic.

Drona taught Karna his elementary archer, He taught him how to fire an arrow etc etc., but When Karna asked to learn Divyastra's, Drona denied him. Hence he went to Parshurama for his training in Divyaastra's.

For me, The second one looks more logical, but everybody has a different logic and their logic is as accurate as anyone's.

Yup..it has more possibility..Karna went to Parashuram to get knowledge on celestial weapons which Drona denied him,in the name of his caste..I also want to believe this logic..

My logic would add that I dont see Karna using any divine weapon in the Gandharva war.. he uses bone arrow stone arrow etc but no divyastra..

If you do, please substitute all descriptions w/ names. Like Yudisthira for 'Kaurava King' (Shalya Parva), 'Suta's son' or 'Vaikartana's son' for Karna and so on. And edit out inappropriate substitutions, like Arjun describing Gandhari as his mother (during his Ashwamedha war w/ Gandhara). Essentially, make that part simple.
