Mata kunti was with Arjun ..Karna followed them on his horse..When they reached the palace gate Bheem and sahadev ran to mata...All 5 of them lost themselves in her warm embrace..She consoled them saying ,"My sons ,How can I be ever in danger ..I am not afraid of anything or anyone in this world when you all are with me.."
Karna felt slightly uncomfortable ,when he saw Kunti's eyes searching for him..Even though he accepted his brothers already and got closer to them very easily ,he couldn't completely forgive the person who abandoned him in the river..she slowly walked towards him.Karna was avoiding her eyes,but he had to when she lifted his chin..and smiled brightly at him..Kunti took his hand in hers.She called others with a blink of her eye..They all came and stood around Karna and kunti .Yudhishtir was the first to put his palm over Karna's ..Bheem ,Arjun and others imitated his act one by one.Kunti placed her other palm above sahadev's .."My sons ,Promise me that you will be together hand in hand,whatever happens in your life.Karna promise me that you would take care of your brothers and 5 of you should obey his decisions."
All 5 of them nodded happily..Karna was in a dilemma.Even though it was not explicit,he could sense very well that,she would ask him to be the ruler of IP.He has to choose between two families.."Mata ,I will take care of my brothers and you till my last breath..But i have a family in HP ,my parents and my wife..they are responsible for whoever i am now.I cant abandon them.They won't agree to come with me too.Please don't order me to take up the throne of IP. Yudhishtir is the most apt one for that position."
Kunti interrupted him.."Putri Droupathy,please bring thali for doing Aarthi.. Karna,My son,i want to see you rule this country accompanied by your brothers .You are the eldest and the most deserving person.I don't have any doubts in that case"Karna couldn't make up his mind to obey his mother's words.Droupathy came with the thali..

Kunti was able to,understand their reluctance .She knew that Karna is married to Vrishali,who is also from sut gotra.She loved Vrishali personally,but still didn't want someone other than a Kshatriy kanya to be the queen of IP.karn continued looking at Kunti."Mata, i can read your mind now"..He smiled at her."I am still glued to my decision of not taking up the throne.Don't worry about anything now."Yudhishtir,I will be there to protect the Dharm and dignity of IP throne always.."

Vasudev was watching the whole convo silently .He smiled at the comment."Bhrata bheem ...he did mean that...jyesht Bhrata Karna,i came here all the way from dwaraka to be a part of your coronation.But you disappointed me by rejecting the throne. i had to go back witnessing your sacrifice!!!But what you said clearly suits a person like you.."
