Did you read my comment a few pages back ? I clearly mentioned that I don't have one ounce of interest knowing what is mention in Mrityunjay or any other fictional novel written by some modern authors .

I only take citations from Vyas & his disciples' version of Mb as authentic . The rest is fictional like most of the script of Star Plus Mahabharat .

I missed reading your comment. It is ok to each his own. BTW I have loved the book for ages and I like this version.

I have honestly not read the great authentic versions, I can only say this much the writer of Mrutyunjay was extremely well respected author who did great deal of research of this book

He was fascinated and curious to know about Karna cos he read some verses which mentioned Karna with great deal of respect and he wanted to do research

He has even written in preamble to the book that he himself went to the hill which is called Karna ka killa (hill)

Now since this happened almost 5000 years back, who really can say which is true or not
Everybody can believe what they want

I like this book version because Karna WAS SUN's SON and was eldest son of Kunti, he had all the qualities of Pandav, he would not be ordinary.
