But I'd read somewhere that they were soulmates ... Both loved each other so much that they lived n died together.. He got married to his second wife only because dury's wifey wished so .. Put it as a condition in her own marriage with duri that she'll marry him only if Karna marries her frnd as his second wife..

I guessed so. π

Vrish, I don''t agree to this rule, I've noticed people talk only in hindi in other ATs, so why the hell are we supposed to listen to this rule ?? May I know please ?? Unless, you might say, rules are to be different n partial for different ATs...
If you want proof , I could instantly pm you the links of other ATs in my support.π
But Bheeshma did know who Karna really was, and told him during the latter's visit to him on day 10 that he did not love him any less than either Duryodhan or Yudisthir/Arjun. Which sounds disingenuous, b'cos he spared no attempt to insult Karna @ any possible opportunity. Like Kunti, Bheeshma too could have tried to get Karna on his side in dissuading Duryodhan from being obdurate, or he could have tried a solution where both the Pandavas & Kauravas would recognize Karna as the yuvraj of Hastinapur, over either Yudisthir or Duryodhan.
I don't care about the other ATs - this is the rule in this one. There are a few reasons why:
- If you allow Hindi, you have to allow the other languages that people speak - Bengali, Tamil, Gujrati, Marathi, whatever. Last thing we want is a Hindi vs the others fight - a lot of people can legitimately say that they don't know Hindi any more than others know the other languages
- Issue w/ that is that if 2 people have a fight in the languages in question, some of it can easily go past a mod, who wouldn't know how to resolve
- The Hindi that most people speak is very different from that used in mythological shows, including this one, so the claim that Hindi is okay b'cos it's the language of this show is hollow
- Even in Hindi, I've seen that a lot of colloqualisms used by posters get past mods, who are usually not familiar.
So the rule in this AT - you can post what you like in any language, but they must be accompanied by English translations.
