The Pandavas are a different story - they didn't know who he was until they were asked by their shameless characterless mother to do his shradh.
But I do blame the others in the story. Aside from Kunti, I do think what Bheeshma did - always berating Karna when he knew who he really was, was unseemly. Drona, Kripa, Ashwatthama, Shalya and others who insulted him either b4 or during the war, I can understand - all thought he was a family outsider barging into the internal affairs of the Kuru family, so from that POV, they can be excused.
But Bheeshma did know who Karna really was, and told him during the latter's visit to him on day 10 that he did not love him any less than either Duryodhan or Yudisthir/Arjun. Which sounds disingenuous, b'cos he spared no attempt to insult Karna @ any possible opportunity. Like Kunti, Bheeshma too could have tried to get Karna on his side in dissuading Duryodhan from being obdurate, or he could have tried a solution where both the Pandavas & Kauravas would recognize Karna as the yuvraj of Hastinapur, over either Yudisthir or Duryodhan.
