True...Duryodhan was always a weakness of Dhirtrashtra but he never reacted like this.
Yes he didn't considered Bheeshm's suggestions many times. But he never insulted his taatshri like this. He respected him and rajmata a lot. & never disagreed with bheeshm in small matters.

Not really.. Dhridhrashtra was so full of Putra Moh that he time and again sided with Shaguni to put down Bheeshm's words. How far Satyavati was part of the daily administration is debatable.

One prime example is when Dhridhrashtra makes the decision against all the elders which included Bhishm, Kripacharya, Vidur and the rest when Karna was made into a prince of Anga.. This inspite of the elders telling him not to do so and in front of the entire kingdom. He kept his son's wish alive and disrespected his elders as a whole.

Dhridhrasthra's putra moh is a prime example of how one can ruin their own child's life..
