All Satyavati wanted was her bloodline to sit on the throne...

but i think she was quite of a hypocrite as she asked shantanu her self respect and position in the kingdom as she wanted to be queen and raj mata and wanted her sons to inherit the thorne. So she did not wnat bhishma to sit on the thorne because by doing so she would be a daasi after shaantanu's death...

but she did not think about same self respect and position of amba? because now no one is ready to marry amba now...she has been like a tainted woman because bheeshma disrupted her swayamvar (on Satyavati's orders)...couldnt satyavati at least now ask bhishma to get married to amba? she was just staying calm n composed in front of amba...and she is allowing the destruction of another lady's life..in order to safeguard her own..

satyvati of star plus mahabharat i am not liking her one bit..

how could satyawati risk lettting bheeshma get married to the fiery amba? if amba alone could raise so much hell think about the children that could be born by that union! the challenge it could pose before satyawati's bloodline to throne 😉

i feel amba was too impulsive in giving shraap instead of bheeshma she should have given shraap to satyavati..for dooming everything..

one thing i have wwondered about is why krishna never blames bhishma for the plight of amba or disapproves of te kidnap from swayamvara? while bhishma is on the bed of arrows, he tells bhishma about not saving draupadi in the court but nobody ever mentions amba. even bhishma defeated says arjun's arrows felled him and not shikhandi's. he never regres it till th end!

why krishna never said anything against it?

i always felt that amba was highly wronged. while the insult of draupadi was avenged there was no one for amba. draupadi had her husbands, sons, brothers and father to uphold her honor. as for amba she was left alone to deal with her problems. there was no one to care for her not even her father. all they advised is to keep quiet and even stop doing penance.

Another doubt... if amba did so much tapasya why did God make her born as Shikhandi an eunuch and not a proper male !?

Amba was not a vamp ever she was wrongd by Bhishma unwillingly. Infact Amba was one very strong and determind character. Dont knw why they are showing her negative. Even Satyavati was never negative to Bhishma. It was Satyavati's father who puted a question infront of Bhishm and Bhishm did that Pratigya. According to Mahabharat it was not satyavati's fault at all.
