The makers & SP have declared it

- a 128 epi run.

- the strategy is to identify with the young <25 years crowd...all those who have not seen the BR Chopra version.

- SP is spending 100 crores on show + 20 crores on marketing

- They have used VFX extensively and cast will be trendy like comic book heroes.. Notice Bheesma's entry?

- PH is Swastik Productions

i just hope that in all this VFX, the saar of mahabharat is not lost and we are able to see the depth and the soul of the story

hgg, why use Krishna as the sutradhar? why not Vyas himself?

Arshi, so the long wait over and CB for Mahabarath started. I expected a more detail version, was bit taken back when the story was hurried so quickly in the first episode itself. Overall a good episode but the visual effects were bit loud and flashy. The fish jumping over the boat felt like I was watching an animated version. Otherwise I liked all the characters, Satyavathi was the best. Though I admired her strength and ambitious character, the other thing which came to my mind was a woman's unlimited desire has always been the reason to change the fate of her loved ones. She being a fisher girl still had the drive in her to manipulate the people around to retain the power. The actress chosen is good. Anyway let us see how it goes this week.

good episode. every one justified their roles.ganga's screen presence is very less. today is satyavathi's day but I liked both satyavaathi and ganga.i would love to see ganga and santhanu story.

Krishna as sutradari is good idea. I read in news that Krishna will narrate mahabarath and pose questions in each episode.

this is fast track mahabarth for youth .they will focus only on the main plot.

I like the idea of casting young actors for every role.

actors-8/10

diction-9/10 (no comparisons with old mb).I never expected good diction from young actors.

visual effects they can reduce to some extent.

mahabarath for youth<25- 8/10

for me 6/10( I prefer detailed version).

true kaadal. Loud and flashy it was. Satyavati - her ambition was burning. But what stood out was her strength and independence. her confidence and refusal to bow down. Was she taking a huge risk there? Would she really have given it up all ? Or could Shantanu have called her bluff?

We shall never know.
