And Krishna, when will anyone cast a Krishna who is actually 'krishna'? while the sutradhar idea is good, wht will happen when the sutradhar actually comes on stage as well? Typical sutradhars are always offstage... The bigger crib is the overly flowery, over decorated, slightly effeminate presentation of Krishna. Thought we could have outgrown that by now...

Liked the sets, costumes and dialogues..Krishna & Satyavati characters..

Devavrata / Bhisma & Rakshas entry scene was very similar to 'The 13th Warrior'...even the Rakshas were dressed in a similar get-up like in the movie I mentioed..

The makers are clear that the show will run for 6 months only...so could sense the fast pace from this epi itself...

I just hope they don't loose some finer points in the process...

For example..would have loved to see the depiction of Devavrata's origins -

Shantanu's relationship with Ganga, her condition for marriage to Shantanu, his growing up (he was taught by Brihaspati, Shukracharya, Vashistha & Parashuram)

For a generation which does not know the back story, Ganga's sudden appearance and declaration would look so abrupt.

But as you said, let's wait for the show to settle in...

satyavati was show stealer for me ..her expressions her dialogs .specially the one "app machali pakadege aur main beechugi" 😃.gosh she was awesome there ...the actress is really doing a gr8 job .

shantanu was gr8 as well ... he was quite soft and nice .

well bheeshma dint impress me the way other two did ...bt yep its too early to comment ...as it ws first epi ...he cn do more well in future ... when bheeshma pitama has more range a emotions to show

i wuld rate a 7... it ws quite good😊

Are you alluding to 'Krishna' meaning dark - skinned or blue-skinned or warrior-like?

I don't think Krishna will remain a sutradhar all throughout. Looking at the fast pace and 1 hour episode format, his entry will come in pretty soon in the series itself...I thought this was a one-off since it was an intro epi...let's see if that is the format when we see the epi tomorrow...
