Chapter One
Rk was frantic. Madhu had gotten into an accident. 'Why, why had he kicked her out of his life?' he thought furiously. Without his stupidity, Madhu would have been at his home right now. He missed her presence in his life so badly.
Her family didn't even want him there, but since he was paying for the medical expenses, they couldn't kick him out. He felt bad threatening to take away his support, but he had no choice. Even if he wouldn't have stopped paying if they had kicked him out.
Oh how he loved her. He knew that now. 'I'm sorry Madhu, I'm so sorry. Come back to me, I'll make everything right again' he thought miserably.
When the doctor informed him that she was conscious once again, he walked straight in to see her. She was beautiful. He was speechless as he stared at her. Her lips were chapped, she had dark circles like bruises and her hair was matted. Still, her expression of acknowledgement towards him made him feel like the luckiest man on earth. Her lips curved upwards in a smile. He smiled back. His smile dropped after hearing the first words that came out of her mouth.
"I'm sorry who are you?"

"Mr. RK, her memory is gone. It has been set five years ago, when she never met you. And you weren't a well known actor then, which is why she didn't recognise you at all" the doctor told him helplessly.
After he blurted out to Madhu that he was her husband and banned other people from visiting her, he reached out to the doctor. They performed more tests, after which they declared it trauma driven memory loss.
According to the doctors, Madhu was safe and might need therapy if her memory comes back all of a sudden. Rk came up with a plan to make Madhu stay with him. He bribed the doctors to lie about a trauma related bond that will make it beneficial for Madhu. He didn't want anyone saying anything about his cheating to Madhu so this was the perfect excuse. He wanted to create new memories with her and if her memories do come back she will have forgiven him by then.
And once she's completely isolated with me, she'll forget about Sultan, he thought viciously. Not knowing that Sultan had left the city a week ago.

Padmini hadn't wanted Madhu to leave with him, despite the doctor saying that since he was the first person she bonded with after the accident, his presence will be beneficial. As her legally wedded husband, he had rights, as he reminded his mother in law.
Trishna, after seeing his desperation and Madhu's confused condition, convinced the family to not make a fuss. The doctors had told them not to make Madhu recall anything traumatic, especially about her past. Since her humiliation at his hands were considered that, people were told not to mention that.

The next day, Madhu was taken to RK Mansion with him and his family. He was already warned the jokers who lived with him about letting Madhu know anything he doesn't want her to know.
Madhu was quiet on the way home. She was shy and kept her head down. It made him upset but he controlled himself. He kept staring at her, her face, her lips, her hair and her in her entirety.
Madhu was confused. One day she was excited about joining college and the next day she is five years older and has a husband. A husband who Trishna told her was a star. A husband who was extremely good looking. A husband who kept his eyes on her all the time. It could be described as loving but something about his staring made her uneasy.
"We're here" his deep voice whispered into her ear. She jerked her head up, his breath on her ear making her feel things she never felt before and his voice startling her.
She looked at the colossal bungalow that was scary to her. It scared her a lot. She stole a glance at her stranger husband and found him staring at her lips. She wanted to flinch away.
As he helped her out of the car, he kept his arm around her waist. She felt scared when he didn't remove his hand afterwards, but in fact, held her tighter. He didn't say anything to her but pulled her towards the house.
The staff looked happy to see her. With the exception of his mother and that guy who was always with him, his family didn't seem to care much. The very beautiful lady who might be his sister or sister in law, seemed even angry to see her. She felt like crying, she was between strangers and all alone. She was a doe walking into the wolf's den for dinner, expecting safety.
