The backstory is tragic but it also shows that Pushpa was never a damsel in distress , she knew to stand up for herself ( as per flashbacks in the recent episodes)

i have seen a lot of people with this opinion as well. and while I agree it's hard to put up with such people in real life, it makes for a fun sitcom character. plus some of her burns are as pure gold.
Thing is Dan Goor and Michael Schur made it a formula to have obnoxious characters in their shows;
The office ; it was Kelly who was 50/50 annoying and funny
Parks and rec ; Tom Haverford 100% as*hole and never funny , April was 25% funny
In b99 the only time i found gina funny was when she said this gem "Are you talking to us or the fart?" Her character never had any redeeming qualities...imo she was just a formulaic character who bombed pretty badly...

I never watched the office or parks and rec (though I have gathered that there were good shows) so I can't comment on that. But from what I know the writers or was it the producers were the same. So it's pretty expected to have the same character archetypes.
Gina was fun for me. I always thought her genuine concern for the team was enough to separate her from being a complete sadist and also a redeeming/likable quality. It's not overt but it's there. To each his own I suppose. I can't stand holier than thou characters with such fickle moral compasses (*cough* haseena self righteous Malik *cough*). I'd take the resident a**hat over that any day anytime.

I don't think we can use the term sprit animal anymore since it's offensive to latin americans...
Rinki;
Personally i never liked Gina at all , i hate such people in both real and reel life...such a judgemental , obnoxious character with a saviour/god complex...
offensive? how and why? didn't know about it 😳

Ikr... ultimate beizatti 🤣
Even idk about it that clearly....looks like native americans have this thing called Spirit Guides who appears to them in different forms of animals , it's their cultural thing of some sort and therefore it's considered insensitive using this term colloquially....i read this on an article last year....

Yes i watched it...it looks good but why is SAB TV greenlighting more soap operas? This channel used to be the go to destination of comedy which ended with the last funny show on this channel; Bhakharwadi
