Hello hello peeps, back for a bit! Took me a full day to just catch up on all the discussion haha (again sorry for spam reactions ).
Looking at all the analysis and perspectives, clearly the makers are taking our emotions and loyalties on a roller coaster ride with this track. I still can't make heads or tails of HM and AV's characters - their cop intelligence, maturity, manners, respect, emotions, reactions, etc. almost everything keeps changing scene to scene. Most of you said their interactions are way too toxic for a proper relationship, but somehow I haven't felt that toxicity yet. In fact I find it hard to take any of their taunts/accusations/name-calling seriously, because of how out-of-character it looks. In that moment all I'm thinking about is showing bhaukaal to the dialogue writer, topa aadmi kya kuch bhi kachra likh dete ho bey. It doesn't match either of their cop personalities to spew irrelevant personal attacks, so the whole argument looks very on-the-surface with no real intention or emotion from either side, just fighting for the heck of it to keep their own competitive feel alive.
Some of the serious things though, I felt were well justified or resolved.
1. HM blaming AV for scaring away the minister and then laughing at his personal problems on cctv - maybe somewhat balanced by AV blaming HM for releasing the cctv recording. Though that recording could much more permanently damage his reputation than the minister incident would affect HM's image. Plus it was so darn insensitive of HM to record and watch it in the first place. But okay, I guess AV randomnly blamed her a few times for attempt to purposely harm him, so it balances out.
2. AV calling HM nonsense for running into a bomb-rigged thana - totally deserved, KS should've called her out long back for these juzbaat-overflow risk-taking behaviours that put fellow police at risk, but I'm glad someone finally had the guts and position to do it. Though, fandom was upset that Karishma wasn't the one to protect Haseena, like she had when there was a bomb on the police jeep. Well, AV was already there, and I think if I was KS I'd take a minute to roll my eyes and think uff yeh maasoomiyat, not again.
3. AV calling KS thali ka baingan - definitely needed a more polite phrase, but yes, that's what she was doing. KS was expected to be helping both seniors but was caught outright spying for HM. Of course AV would be mad, he does the work to find evidence/clues and HM just has to build theories on it to solve the case? no way. By spying on AV, Haseena literally demeaned herself. Does she not believe she has the brains, cop skills, juzbaat, and team power (with an extra constable) to win the competition by pure effort? Does she really need to compromise her values and drop to the level of spying on a fellow police officer just to find basic evidence on a case? Since when did THE self-righteous HM resort to KS' old belief that "end justifies any means".
4. HM judging AV's character throughout the whole Avni kidnapping incident - oh she was terribly at fault for poking her nose into his personal life but she whole-heartedly apologized for it and he moved on, so I'll take that as a clean closure. I guess she's still baffled by AV and goes overboard in trying to figure him out. Though I was absolutely mortified hearing her say things like "mard hi hai" etc. My immediate thought was maybe Anubhav's betrayal, but nooooo, he never ever cheated on her in this aspect. So how was this venom suddenly injected into HM's character? Again, I'll blame the dialogue writers. HM could've just said "yeh khudko sensitive gentleman mard saabit karna chaahte hai aur yahaan do auraton ke jazbaato se khel rahe hai, aise mard chalaayenge mahila thana?".
That's all I can remember off the top of my head, but I think both are fairly balanced in most things - even their constant back and forth between becoming a genius cop one scene then looking clueless the next. These days I keep wondering if their cop skills has an on-off switch. HM not figuring out AV's plan to save her from Arun, isse maasoomiyat nahi jadbuddhi kehte hai (also, her walking in to criminal houses like a stroll in the park and holding the gun outstretched like a toddler triggers me so bad, I want to slap her through the screen ). AV was about to salute HM for her assuring justice to a victim, itne mein izzat karne lag gaye? He didn't have any input in the whole Lalla ke Pappa reincarnation case, and had the most irrelevant suggestions for the most part of the fraud app case.
My scoreboard -
1. Archery - AV brilliant, HM lost the plot
2. Bombs - AV decent, HM spying and overtakes on the verge of resolution
3. Santu's kidnapping - AV brilliant, HM a step behind but saves his life
4. Sindoor - AV surface-level, HM brilliant (jazbaat, root problem)
5. Avni's kidnapping - AV brilliant, HM brilliant except the end
6. Reincarnation/drugs - AV absent, HM decent (playing along with emotions again ), KS brilliant
7. Fraud app, ongoing - HM stagnant, AV unhelpful
Btw, the fraud case is such a mess, they have no lead yet didn't bother giving protection to Brijesh. Also how does Billu not know that he has the same dating app as the guy? From the way Brijesh was desperate to get his 3 suspects beaten up, its clear he's up to something, KS was right to want him to confess. And the gf asking him to pay the money made it obvious that something's fishy with the girls on the dating app. AV saying to forget about Brijesh's disappearance was outright stupid as a cop, but I think he too figured out that the guy is not a complete victim.
I still love Amar, but oh you don't dare cut off Tajurba, I can't forgive that. Agree with Deepika di on that, his catch phrase sounds really weird. Though logic vs juzbaat is a much better debate than laat vs juzbaat, its way more relatable and balanced. Because laat is always going to be needed for hard crimes, but its the other smaller issues where logic vs juzbaat makes a difference in the long-term cure - the sindoor case was a perfect example.
