I have a feeling bulbul Pandey is involved somehow. especially when he said, "the villain is back." IDK, it felt kinda symbolic.
I think the only reason they brought in this fraud case other than to stretch the plot is that they want haseena to feel more guilty. although, in the end, they did solve the case and saved her from getting arrested. Or with the number of haseena and Santosh scenes we are getting, it could be to provide a reason for santu to be one of the first to forgive haseena later on. cause I can't see any other purpose of it. so I am just asking myself why?
this could be my overthinker self trying to connect non-existent dots.

This is all great analysis, but I highly doubt that the CVs of MS think so far or so symbolically. I think they just brought Pandey to disturb viewers and take our attention away from the hard disk. Today Anubhav gets Haseena to reveal her reality and we'll hopefully finally get an end to the case at which they'll reveal in flashback how Anubhav solved the case while Haseena and team were battling Pandey.

that is also plausible. IDK man, I am just grabbing at straws at this point. 'cause really, hogayi masti ab sultao iss mukadmein ko aur age baro.
lmao, ehsaas wala pyar solving the case would be mediocre writing. Karishma and santu gathered more leads than this dude in two days flat as compared to like what two weeks plus now that he has been back. he even killed their biggest clue to solving the case.

You know thinking through this logically - Anubhav as Captain makes the most sense now. See the Captain wants the hard disk. That hard disk is important for him. Now if Anubhav is Captain, he has 2 ways of getting it. Either by playing with Haseena's emotions and love again and convincing her he is on the right side or through this stupid goons. By killing the goons, he is going down the former route. He's letting Haseena think that he is on her side and will put himself in danger to keep her safe.
Of course, this may be an elaborate plan and Anubhav was working with the 2 goons to keep the hard disk safe (they turn out to be like secret agents themselves) and the real villain is Bakshi or someone else. But so far that's what it seems like.

your analysis was spot on man! ehsaas wala pyar is the captain which though is surprising, makes sense. he couldn't care less about finding the culprits. he only wanted the hard disc and needed to get it from haseena. although, I still find it weird that they turned him negative. Some part of me still thinks that the second theory you mentioned is possible. damn, all the heartbreak everyone is going to experience.
Thank god this track is finally coming full circle. Now we need all of the characters to be involved and bring this captain to justice.

Lol yeah I finished watching about 20 minutes ago. I should join MS CVs. 🤣
You know what would be worse is if they make it another "mask" or a twin or just a lookalike. I hate those stories. So cliched. Even in CID when they brought Nakul back in like 2014, it turned out to be a mask and the actor they got to show behind Rahil's face couldn't even act.
Seriously it would be so annoying. I sincerely hope the second part of my theory is right or if they just keep Anubhav negative fully. Only those 2 make the most sense.
