Sorry I haven't posted for so long...been busy with exam prep. Promise I will post part 9 today or tomorrow. Keep reading!

Part 9:

Shabd:Kya yehi pyar hai? Main Mahi se pyar karta hoon? HAAN! Main Mahi se pyar karta hoon! I love Mahi Malhotra!

Veer:Shabd! Jaldi karo! Mausam kharab hota ja raha hai, chalo!

Shabd looked around to see that everyone was in the car already, he was the only standing in the rain. He hadn't noticed that the weather had gotten bad, he was just excited for his love for Mahi. He couldn't wait to tell her.

Shabd:Ata hoon.


Shabd came and sat beside Mahi once again. This time, he really cherished these type of moments with her.

Jeet:Kahan kho gaye the Shabd?

Shabd:Kahin bhi nahin.

Veer:Hume jaldi ghar jana hai, mausam kharab hota ja raha hai.

Jeet:Haan, aur mujhe bahut bhook lagi hai.

Everyone:Jeet!

Jeet:Kya?



The entire ride home to the farmhouse was quiet. Shabd couldn't help but think of how Mahi would react when he told her he loved her. But he couldn't help but wonder, did she feel the same way? Did she see him in that way? Does she LOVE him?

While Shabd was thinking of how Mahi felt, Mahi had a dilema going on inside her as well. Ever since the first day she saw him, she knew she had feelings for him but she didn't know that he felt the same way. Her feelings for him were getting stronger day by day, ever moment they spent together increased the feelings she had for him. But couldn't help but wonder, did he feel the same way? Does he see her in that way, or just as friends? Did he love her?

Both of them didn't want to say anything because they didn't want to ruin the friendship that they had created.

Everyone finally arrived home, everyone walked as fast as they could with their packages inside the house while Jeet just left his stuff and ran to the fridge.

Mahi:Arre Shabd, tum khana nahin khao gay?

Shabd:Nahin, mujhe bhook nahin hai. Main apne kamre main jaa raha hoon.

Mahi:Theek hai, jaise tumhari marzi.


Shabd quickly cleaned himself up when he entered his room, he changed into comfy sweats and headed out to the balcony. He leaned against the raiking. he clearly needed some time alone to think.

Mahi:Shabd, tum abhi tak soye nahin?

Shabd noticed that she was wearing cute pink P.J's. That colour really suited her, she looked really cute in it with her hair left down.

Shabd:Nahin, neend nahin ayi.

Mahi:Mujhe bhi nahin. Chalo baate karte hain.


Mahi pulled Shabd onto her bed and they both rested their head on the headboard. Shabd was desperate to find out if Mahi had any feelings for him, while Mahi was trying the same.

They started their conversation with their childhood, likes and dislikes and hobbies; they wanted to know more about eachother.

Shabd:Mahi, main ek baat poochon?

Mahi:Haan, poocho.

Shabd:Kya tumne kabhi bhi...kissi se pyar kiya hai.

Mahi:Sach bataon?

Shabd:Haan.

Mahi:Haan kiya tha, jab main 12th standard mein thi.

Shabd:Oh.


Mahi looked at Shabd and noticed his expression turn into a frown. He definetely had feelings for her. She was ecstatic!

Mahi:Kya tumne kissi se pyar kiya hai?

Shabd:Umm.....

Mahi:Common...batao na. Maine tumhe sach bataya.

Shabd:Theek hai. Haan kiya tha.


Shabd noticed a colour of jealousy come on to Mahi's face. She loved him too. He was jumping with this news inside.

Mahi:Kya tum abhi bhi use pyar karte ho?

Shabd:Nahin. Main nahin karta.Par jab main use pyar karta tha, woh kissi aur se pyar kart ti thi. Kya tum abhi bhi...

Mahi:Nahin. Usne mujhse kabhi pyar nahin kiya,woh sirf aur sirf mera ek acha dost hai.Par jab hum graduate huye, us din se bat nahi ho paye.

They both had the color return back onto their faces; they were happy to know that they weren't in love with someone else and that their first loves hadn't worked out, but were stiil a bit upset.

Shabd:Kya tum mujhe uska naam batao gi?

Mahi:Agar tum kaho to.

Shabd:Theek hai...ek saath kehte hain. 1..2..3!

Shabd:KRIPA!

Mahi:ANGAD!

Shabd:Ab bas. Bahut batein ho gayi. So jate hain.

Shabd kissed Mahi on the forehead and was getting up from her bed to go to his when thunder rumbled - Mahi hated the sounde of thunder, it always scared her and gave her nighmares - she hugged onto Shabd tightly from the back.

Shabd:Kya hua?

Mahi:Mujhe thunder se bahut dar lag ta hai. Kya tum aaj raat mere saath so sakte ho?

Shabd:Par Mahi...

Mahi:Please?

Shabd couldn't say no to her. If she really hated thunder and it scared her, he would do anything to comfort her in any possible way. So he lay back down, pulling the blanket on around them. He securely put Mahi into his arms while Mahi rested her head on his chest.

Mahi:Thank you. Tumko pata hai Shabd, jab main choti thi aur aisa mausum hua karta tha, main mummyji ki saath soti thi.

Shabd:Your welcome. Ab so jao, bahut raat ho chuki hai.

Mahi:Goodnight.

Shabd:Goodnight.

Shabd liked that he could comfort Mahi this way. He was glad he could make her happy, cheer her up. And couldn't wait to tell her he loved her. In a way, he was glad that him and Kripa hadn't worked out, even though he was depressed about it for weeks.

Mahi was happy and felt protected when Shabd held her like this. She would do anything to make him happy; she was looking for the right moment to express her love for him. She too was glad that Angad hadn't returned her love, because if he hadn't, she would never have met Shabd, and she was happy that she did.

They both drifted off while being in each other's arms.

Mahi:Shabd...utho! Hume jaldi ghar jana haai. Jaldi karo.

Shabd:Please Mahi! Soney do na! 5:30 baje. Itni jaldi kyon?

Mahi:Kyunki daddyji ne mehndi ki rasam aaj ki rakh di hai. Aur hume waqt par pahunch na hai.

Shabd:Theek hai. Main ata hoon.

Shabd got up to get ready to leave when he noticed that he could tell Mahi what he felt in his heart for Mahi. This wouldn't be the best time but he couldn't leave a chance like this.

Shabd:Ek minute Mahi. Main tumse kuch kehna chata hoon.

Mahi:Baad mein batana Shbad. Hume jaldi jana hai.

Shabd:Par yeh baat bahut zaroori hai. Shabd held onto Mahi's wrist when Mahi was leaving.

Mahi:Shabd....Mahi's heartbeat started to accelerate when Shabd came close to Mahi. She knew what he was going to say. Shw anted to tell him to but didn't have the courage.

Shabd:Mahi...main tumse...main tumse bahut pyar karta hoon. Pata nahin kabse par main tumse bahut pyar karta hoon. Tumhare bigar jee nahin sakta.

Mahi:Shabd....main bhi...

Shabd:Main bhi kya?

Mahi:Shabd...main bhi tumse bahut py....

Soni:Mahi! Shabd! Jaldi karo. Der ho rahi hai.

Shabd:Fitteh mooh.

Mahi:Arre...yeh to meri line hai.

Shabd:Haan haan...ab batao tum mujhse bhi kya?

Mahi: Jaldi ki jiye.

Shabd:Mahi! Please batao na.

Mahi:Nahin bataon gi! Mahi ran out of Shabd's grip and was about to leave the room with hers and Shabd's stuff when Shabd...

Shabd:Theek hai...mat batao. Par main aaj raat ka waqt deta hoon. Agar tumne mujhse yeh nahin kaha ke tum mujhse pyar nahin karti to main sab ke samne apna pyar ka izhaar kar doonga!

Mahi:Shabd!

Shabd:Ab jao Mahi...der ho rahi hai. Main abhi aya.

Shabd left with a stunned Mahi. He knew what game she was playing with him. He decided that if she was going to tease him...why not tease her back?

Everyone got into the car sitting in their normal positions. Once in a while...Shabd would hold Mahi's hand and Mahi would jump not knowing what happened. Everyone would look around to see what happened. She would make some excuse or the other while trying to get her hand freed from Shabd's. He wasn't giving up.

Raji: Kitne cute lag rahe na? Dekho. Kaise ek doosre ko dekh rahe hain.

The 4 turned around to see that the 2 were staring at eachother with passion in their eyes. Mahi finally broke free when she noticed everyone staring at them.

Soni:So SWEET!

Jeet: Haan....kitne cute ho tum dono.

Veer:Haan...zaroor Goa ke pani mein kuch hai...warna tum dono aur aise.

Shabd:Haan hai na...Goa ke pani mein PYAR hai. Main Mahi se pyar karta hoon. Mahi bhi mujhse pyar karti hai par keh nahin pari.

Mahi looked away blushing. How she wanted to tell him but couldn't get the courage to do it.

After a lot of gang teasing...the car finally stopped infront of the Malhotra house. It was evening and they nade just in time to get ready for the function. Mahi ran out with her handbag as soon the car stopped while blushing at the same time.

Shabd:Are Mahi!

Raji:Tum fikar mat karo. Hum sab sambhal lenge. Mahi aisi hai. Kabhi chulbuli hai par bahut sharmili bhi hai.

Shabd:Haan par tum apne parents kuch mat batana. Main khudh Mahi ka haat mangne aonga.

Soni:So sweet! Ab tum teeno jao aur tayyar ho jao. Function thodi der main shuru hone wala hai.

Jeet:Theek hai. Hum jate hain. Thodi der main milte hain.

The boys drove off while Raji and Soni walked in with their luggage and Mahi's that she left behind.

Moni:Tum dono a gaye. Kitni der laga di bahar.

Raji:Woh yeh hai mummyji ki Mahi apna saman gadi mein hi bhool gayi. Humari madat bhi nahin ki.

Moni:Kyon Mhai? Madat kyonnahin ki?

Mahi:Woh mummyji. main apko bahut miss karahi thi aour apse milna chathi thi. Is liye bhool gayi.

Moni:Theek hai. Ab tum apna saman lekar upar jao aur tayyar ho jao.

Soni:Ji.

Moni left and Mahi, Soni and Raji walked into their room to get ready.

Soni:Kyon...Mummyji ko miss karahi thi. Jhooti!

Mahi: Yeh tum kaisi bate kari hi Soni. Of course main mummyji ko miss kar rahi thi, warna main Shabd ko aise chod kar ati kya?

Mahi bit her tongue after she realized what she said.

Raji:How cute. Hum jante hain ki tum Shabd se bahut pyar karti ho. Hum yeh chate hain ki tum bas keh nahin pari.

Mahi: Ab bas bhi ki jiye di...(mahi was blushing because whatever Raji was saying was true...she loved him a lot but was too shy to say anything about it) tayyar hona hai.

Mahi,Soni and Raji got ready and were just adding last touches when Prince knocked on the dore and came in to call them downstairs. Shabd, Jeet and Veer had arrived and so did the other guests.

Prince:Aap teeno jaldi karenge? Jeet jiju, Veer jiju aur Shabd...nahin...Shabd JIJU a gaye hain.

Mahi turned around when Prince said that (blushing as usual) and started to chase Prince. He knew that Shabd and Mahi loved each other. He was in on the plan to get them together. Soni and Raji always told him what happened.

Mahi:Fitteh mooh tera! Baadmash kahin ka!

Prince: Didi ab bas bhi kijiye.

Mahi:Nahin.

Mahi continued to chase Prince...even though she tried to act mad...she couldn't help but laugh and smile.

Brij:Prince! Jaldi neeche aja. Kuch kaam hai.

Prince:AYA! Main chala.

Mahi:Prince!

Soni:Ab bas bhi kar Mahi. Chalo hum bhi neeche chalte hain.

Mahi couldn't wait to go downstairs. She wanted to tell Shabd how much she loved him...she had gigantic butterflies in her stomach and her hert was beating twice as heard with nervouseness.

Mahi:Chaliye.

The 3 sisters linked arms and headed downstairs to get mehndi done on their hands in the name of their beloved.
