Luteri Dulhan
Imagine TV's much-needed strategy boost came this week in form of two shows
1) Luteri Dulhan and
2) Beendh Banunga, Ghodi Chadhunga
While we talk about Beendh Banunga… in our next story, here's an observation about Luteri Dulhan:
While the name, and subsequent the subject has been successful in getting few new eyeballs to the channel, it has failed to retain those newer audiences. Reason – it looks like a news story done on India TV. In the first episode itself, you know what the show is all about and you are not hooked to watch any more of it.
There's so much of hamming done by the actors that the entire premise seem fake and dramalike. It doesnt seem real from any angle. And as a thumb rule, until the characters and the plot seem real, audiences dont identify with them and the show falls flat on its face. Just as Star Plus Gulal did.
Its time for the channel programming and creative teams to relook at what they are making! Audiences are not going to digest anything you serve them.
