Ek Nayi Daastan Laajwanti Ki

ever since i saw the promos of this show i have been so excited about it, but sadly was a bit busy so wasnt able to watch the show but finally caught up today...and damn this show is good.

I love it.

What originally attracted me tot eh show had to be the pre parition era, i ma always interested in things about that period. So that was the main attraction for me.

I was worried if the cvs would be able to pull off that whole setup of the pre parition india. but they have done a fantastic job.

All the locations in the show and the coustumes seem so traditional and have that historical old touch to it which i love. i also like how the cvs kept in mind all the little things, such as "chulle pe roti banana" , "purane jamane ka camera" " the setup" "the traditional decorations"and so much more. love it.

i also like how they are using punjabi int he show...really loving that punjabi touch, gives the show a more realistic touch.

i like how they are focusing on the lajwanti's storyline and the whole partition fights as well.

Also really like the cast. everyone is amazing. and i ma fida over sunderlal, that man has a unique charm to him. and laajwanti is so cute and innocent, and love it when she swears in punjabi. And love her bonding with her family. And how she tried to question the society on why always the girl has to give agneepareeksah and stuff.

i am also liking the folk songs that the cvs have used in the show. gives the show a nice touch.

and i love the song the lori song laajo was talking about her mum singing to her when she was little

And of course i like how they are showing the relationship between the communities living in Lahore. They are showing that there is love between them but because of a few certain people (from both sides) there has come a bitterness between them.

I dont mean to offend anyone but personally speaking i would have liked for India and Pakistan to stay as one country, i feel like it would have been so much more perfect.

Also loved the first episode how Sunder put Williams in his place.

Loved these two dialogues:

"Aaj ka yeh race koi gora nahi jeeta ga naahi koi hindu ya musalman ek hindustani jeete ga"

"Yeh mitti theek se sunle Williams. Hindu aur Musalman issi mitti ke baane hai aur yeh jaan le banane wale ne koi farak nahi kiya"
