Satvinder Singh aka Tony who used to work as a radio jockey in London, makes his TV debut in Zee's Lajwanti. He plays the negative lead in the show. Speaking ofhow he bagged the part Tony says, "My station manager in London had some connections in Bollywood. He suggested I should return to India and try my luck in the industry.I was hanging around in Andheri, Mumbai when I saw some men in turbans and struck up a conversation with them in Punjabi. That's how I got to know that auditions for Lajwanti were taking place there. I immediately auditioned and got selected."The actor reveals that while he didn't watch Hindi soaps in India, he got hooked to them in the UK. "Desi dramas are very popular in the UK because you don't get towatch such stuff in English serials. That's where I got hooked to them."
