LTL Written Update

13th December 2010

Dutta zooms his jeep into Chaskar's warehouse. Stops with a screech and with a raised eyebrow sees his diamond dealer waiting for him at the wooden table and a few chairs. Dutta disembarks from his jeep , looks at Chaskar's man pointing a gun at him. The diamond dealer yells eyeee! lower your guns! Duttam oves to the table, sits down hauls his long legs on the table and crosses them, and knits his long fingers in boredom. The diamond dealer says, Bhau it's good news for all of us that you have agreed to a truce with Chaskar. Dutta casts his eyes around and replies, we'll talk about the truce later ,but first I have to settle a matter with Chaskar! and he puts his legs on the ground and faces the dealer, where is Chaskar ,can't see him?.. or is going to attack from behind like he did before.

slowly a gun is points at Dutta's temple! he lowers his eyes ,not amused and slowly turns his neck to meet Chaskar in a flaming orange satin shirt with ray bans! , how are you doing Dutta Bhau? Dutta shifts and turns his body to Chaskar and both men! face each other looking at each other in the eye. Chaskar's gun now points to Dutta's chest! and Dutta stares into his shaded eyes..while Chaskar is tweaking his eyebrows up and down in delight! Dutta suddenly thumps up Chaskars hand holding the gun! it jerks up in mid air! and Dutta catches it as it drops and now points the gun at Chaskar! and turns to give all of Chaskar's men holding him at gun point.. a sided look . Chaskar guffaws nervously! while Dutta holds him at gunpoint! Within seconds Dutta's men come behind Chaskar's men and hold them at gunpoint ..while Dutta smiles calmly. Chaskar yells out to his men, hey! what are you doing pulling out guns at Dutta Bhau? are you crazy? knock some sense in yourself! gun down! down! down! and he turns to Dutta and says, in friendship the gun should be lowered and arms opened wide for a friendly embrace! am I right? he says. Dutta, disinterested lowers his eyes, partly amused at Chaskar's silly talk! Chaskar , slightly frightened as Dutta stills hold his gun in his hand and tells Dutta, this is the latest German make model in the market..works so well, never misses a target! but you have taken it ill, this Chaskar has a big heart! you like it? then keep it as a gift from me! Dutta turns his back to Chaskar and looks at the gun, and says, yes it's nice. Then turns to face Chaskar and says, but to pull the trigger on someone, you don't need a German make model, but a man's guts! and he throws the gun over his shoulder and one of Dutta's BG 's catches it! as Chaskar looks on and wonders what Dutta will do next? Dutta pulls his gun out of his trouser pocket, cocks it in place, as all watch... and aims at Chaskar! who stands before a graffiti wall! and Dutta fires at the wall around the outline of Chaskar's head , frightening the living day lights out of him! and then stops .As Chaskar turns, he sees, the bullet holes of his whole body's outline in the wall behind him! wow Bhau! what a perfect marksman! but Dutta Bhau! Chaskar too has a man's guts! am a lion who prefers to die! but will never run from the fight! yes! I know that because of what happened before, you are angry with me! but you tell me something? why would one lion to hunt another lion, take help from a jackal ? he won't will he? the truth is I never pulled the trigger on you yesterday. Yes that is correct that I snatched your diamonds and ran off with them! and for that reason I have called you over to bury the hatchet! A

and that is the honest truth! Dutta says, come on then! they sit at the table! and Chaskar , return the diamonds pouch back to Dutta, that what is yours , cannot be mine!

Dutta says, have a man in Mumbai take the diamonds to him, and you will get the share due to you., that's because in Dutta's absence you carried,out a feat similar to what Dutta would have done! now get one thing clear in your mind, these diamonds you have brought from Dubai, and by now you must know that without my permission. none will carry out a sale with you! Chaskar says, that's fine Bhau! Chaskar has got courage! and you have, the name! now if we two brothers cooperate then we can rule Ratnagiri! Dutta brings him down, if you try to step into my shoes ,you'll have a problem fitting into them! Chaskar doubles up laughing! Dutta raises his finger and threats, don't even look at Ratnagiri! go work in Kanpur, you can establish your work their! but with my permission. You will not do drug trafficking! you will not ill treat the poor! and not carry on flesh trade, don't even think about it! Dutta lays down his terms, and Chaskar after some thought says, fine I accept!. Dutta gives him a cold look and stands up.. as Chaskar, reiterates. so deal sealed! and he offers his hand for Dutta's handshake. Dutta rolls his eyes, picks his diamonds pouch and goes off to his jeep. Chaskar calls out, Bhau! don't you doubt me? I might deceive you! Chaskar taunts. Dutta turns to face him, because whatever you have heard about me is all true! I don't kill someone without reason, but because that person has cheated me! I don't even forgive my friends betrayal! Chaskar chuckles, and says, by god! it seems we are like brothers! I think similarly too! once I befriend someone, I never! betray that friend's trust! Dutta rolls his eyes at Chaskar and orders his BG 's, come on then! they pile into the jeep and Dutta drives off! from Chaskar's adda. Chaskar taps his temple and says, smart brained Chaskar!

Madhu comes out of kitchen carrying food to be served. She overhears Baji on the phone asking about the outcome of the truce. He was told, that they have been told not to give any information to Baji. Baji repeats, who said this Sudarshan? Madhu is annoyed. Baji protest, heck! I have become such an outsider that, my own people are now refusing to tell me of developments at the job! fedup and useless he tells Madhu, look give me something! anything to do ! I can't sit idle , I'll go out of my mind! Madhu says , it's strange that the person who gave me courage to face all odds, looks helpless himself? so anxious ,why is it so Baji? Baji replies, what do you expect me to do? Bhau has just kicked me out of his life! I am going crazy what's left for me to do? Madhu replies, Baji this is the test of your friendship, today bhaiya is annoyed with you how can you expect any different from him? agreed that bhaiya withdrew himself from you but look at it this way , you haven't distanced yourself from him? so now go prove it to him that even far apart from him too, you are still concerned about his welfare. Only a true friend stands by you in adverse times! and friend is you Baji! empowers Madhu. Naku joins them and confesses , Baji it's due to me that you have become alone! there is a rift between yours and Saab's friendship! Baji looks at her, haven't you heard what madhu has just said? every relationship undergoes a test! Bhau and my friendship is also undergoing a test.. and do you know what I need to do , have faith in our friendship! Naku mine and Bhau's friendship is very old and deep! our friendship may have a crack , but it can never be broken. Naku you know full well that it's you that I am most anxious about. I have always stood by you through all your low times. But Naku makes it very clear, Baji , this is my fight and mine alone.. support weakens. Like you trust your friendship! I too trust my love. But Baji argues, may I remind you I called you vahini! how can I just leave you alone? Naku argues, Baji you lookout for Saab!he needs someone who is trustworthy!and Baji , says what are you made up off? Naku replies, I am Babi's daughter! I won't axccept defeat that easily! and three smile ,and Naku leaves..

Suresh's entry

A man struggles to enter the main hall of Patil Nivas ..he is held by his arms by the BG 's. He yells, let me go inside, I have something important to say.. Kala looks at the visitor with feigned pretension of not knowing who this man is. Aye Sahib, Kishore look on, while the man insists he has something important to say! Aye Sahib, asks , who is he? and what does he want? Aye Sahib! he calls out, tell this man with the gun to let go of me, let me in , I have something important to say to you! Kala smiles impressed by his acting! and she looks at her mother who nods, to let him in. He comes in takes his shoes off and runs to Aye shaib, have to tell you something very important! Kala does her acting , prompting the man to say more, who are you and why are you here?he goes to Kala and says loudly, I am Suresh! I have come from Mumbai , to meet Nakusha! where is she? where is Naku? Naku! Naku! he goes about yelling her name. oyee Nakusha! Kala gives a blood thirsty smile! Nakusha! he continues to yell her name. Naku comes down the stairs of the main staircase. Naku!

suddenly he sees her and his eyes widen. Aye Sahib looks alarmed. Baji and Madhu arrive too. and Suresh goes , Naku!and runs to her and looks at her face... and he says with a big smile, how are you ? seen you after so many days? Kala gives Naku a revengeful look! Naku replies much puzzled, who are you? he looks at her face, you don't recognize me? I am Suresh! your childhood friend! friend meaning really close friends! we were going to get married! Naku replies, marriage?and before Naku can say more, Kala swishes over to win every one's trust and roughly hisses at the man ,do you know who you are standing before? and talking rubbish! stop it before I hit you ! who you are calling your friend! is this house's daughter in law! and she glares at Naku and spits out the words , Dutta shriam patil's wife! Suresh pretends to be disappointed, I was told that you work in this house! you got married? you cheated me? Naku panics, who are you? I don't know who you are? why are you lying?
