In the kitchen
Naku is cooking and Madhu gives her a hand.FB, Naku recalls her mother's voice, once encouraging Dutta to eat, Bhau eat some more all the food Naku made on her own. How he ate, and then told her mother, mausi, tell Naku that the food was tasty.. and eating just one morsel of food made by her fills me up. Naku looks into space vacantly.. and muses probably now he doesn't even touch the food made by her hands. Madhu looks at a preoccupied Naku ..and says, bhabi so much has happened but I never seen angst on your face or complaint, someone else in your place would have cracked up by now.. cursed their destiny!. but you bahbi are exceptional. Naku smiles, I am human and do get hurt, but I am also the DIL of this house, Saab's wife ,if I lose faith , Bappa strengthens me, Saab may be angry with me , but he will still eat one morsel of my cooked food to fulfil himself! Madhu replies, I can see that's why you pour in all your love in your cooking. Naku , smiles and tells Madhu to turn off the hob after a few minutes. Naku prepares the arti thalli.
Aye sahib comes into the kitchen. Aye Sahib , admits, I knew it, that this morning I would still see a smile on your face. Despite last night's events. I wish my son too learns to face life and trials the way you do. Kala interrupts , you are right Aye Sahib ! but with my poor Bhau! as soon as any happiness enters his life, it is jinxed straight away! she taunts Naku... don't know after all that has happened, what he must be thinking about , all alone in his life? Naku smiles back , Kala Tai ,as long as I have faith in Bappa! nothing can harm Saab! even if someone tries to cast an evil eye on him! I may be out of his room, but not out of his life! evil eye will be destroyed when it finds me as his protective shield! Naku assures Aye Sahib, you don't worry, your prayers will surely be heard by Bappa! and Bappa also keeps an eye on the person who has set out to harm Saab! my love will never lose! Aye Sahib smiles and says, Naku your faith is with you and so are my blessings, but Naku.. the turn of events have changed, before Dutta never spoke to you, refused to accept you as his wife.. but like a shadow you were with him.. but today? Naku says , I am with him even now! he may not want to see my face, but I believe, one day he will call me! she declares . Then gives the arti thali to Aye Sahib, and faces Kala's scoffing expression. Madhu turns off the stove and leaves the two women on their own.
Dutta & Madhu
Dutta talks to Chaskar on the phone and tells him to meet him at some venue.. with regards to selling off the diamonds. He bids him to fix a time with the buyer , but not to make any commitments, as the deal will be done by Dutta. Madhu stands at the door, with breakfast watching her brother,..bhaiya! babhi has sent this breakfast, he turns his head and glares at her... but abruptly he walks past her out of the room and she calls, bhayia , at least listen to me! and sets his tray on his study desk on the balcony , while rudely turning a deaf ear he goes down the stairs. Madhu follows him , insisting, please listen to me! don't turn your face from me bhaiya! But he carries on going down the stairs till he comes to the ground floor. Madhu begs bhaiya , listen to me! I know you don't wish to talk to any one! you want to remain on your own! I too, since I was a young child lived on my own , despite having a family! and you ! you have your whole family! but you want to stay away from them! why are you doing all this bhaiya! answer me? he stops and she blocks his way! bhaiya to cut yourself from everyone is no solution! I know I am your younger sister, lesser both in age and experience! but I am not so young as not to notice love on your face...I can feel it! whether or not you admit it but you still love bhabi! when both of you love each other then why don't you..
Dutta roars ,I don't have time for your nonsense! and in a fury he storms off! Madhu is speechless.
Dutta & Chaskar
Dutta comes up the hill top with Chaskars men where the buyer. Shikra waits and , welcomes Dutta to Mumbai . He tells Dutta your friend Chaskar refused to lower the price of the diamonds! Dutta is not amused.. Chaskar does the talking, and Chaskar asks Dutta for the diamonds to be shown to shkira.. but Dutta seems lost.. Bhau.. diamonds? Dutta wakes up and pulls out the pouch, and bored passes the diamonds to Chaskar. The deal starts but Dutta recalls Kala's words FB's , some lying , cheat barged into the house and say's he's in love with Naku's face! now due to this don't fight! you and Naku !because everyone has a past.. you had one too ..say it once you don't love me ,I'll leave! but you'll never say it ,but I know you love me Saab! and he refutes ,that day will never come in your life!.. then I have no right here now I 'll come to your room! when you call me! he remembers Naku saying.. Madhu's words, agree or not but you love her bahiya! Disgusted! Dutta leaves the deal and sits behind the wheel of his jeep. Chaskar and shikra are stunned to see Dutta drive off! he leaves his BG behind him as well!
It's Chaskar who does the deal! and says, you stay embroiled with your personal affairs Dutta Bhau , while I take a chance in snatching your position as a don!
Dutta drives down deep in thought but soon his jeep malfunctions and he stops at the road side. Eventually he crosses the road to a service station shop and asks for water! it was the boy who sought Dutta's blessings for his wedding. The boy calls his wife, see who it is? he says we are blessed Dutta Bhau has come to our shop. He calls his wife sonali to bring water for Dutta.. sonali his wife is busy attending to the customers.. He calls his wife who tells him to wait! and he complains to Dutta, Bhau these woman, never listen! and Dutta says, why don't you get me the water yourself! you think you'll call once and the wife should turn up! you think women are some kind of a personal slave! his wife turns up and says, Dutta Bhau, excuse me, but my husband did not call me as if I was his slave! Dutta Bhau you are every one's god! but my god is my husband! her husband rebukes her ,sonali! Have you gone mad! and he comes before Dutta from behind the counter, holding a arm crutch! sonali continues, now he can't run around! So I have to do all the work! Dutta looks at the man's maimed leg and says, forgive me , and the woman says, no please don't! and her husband to apologizes, Dutta please don't take my wife's words to heart , it's just that if any one insults me ,she cannot bear it. Dutta thinks about the man's words. The wife continues, before he was disabled, he never gave me cause for complain! now that he is this state, then it's my responsibility to look after him. If I listen to people, they say I should leave him due to his condition., that I should settle with someone else, but to such people give a good mouthful like they deserve! I can forgo the world but not him! we are bound to each other eternally! give me the bottle I'll get some water for you! Dutta looks at the woman , and muses upon her words. Driving back he thinks about the woman's words. FBs,he recalls Jagtap's words , Dutta you don't understand relationships ! you don't understand love! even death could not part me from my love ,and you Dutta.. though living still you are not with your love! close your eyes you will find your love! Dutta drinks alcohol from a bottle and drives! he recalls how he had proposed and said , I wish to give you all those rights that you deserve; will you marry me. From today the name Nakusha means, deceit for me, you are dead for me! how he told her to leave! and she refused to go! and asked for the chance to defend herself! which Dutta didn't give her.
Outhouse
Madhu comes in and finds Naku sitting on the floor .. her head resting on the floor of the bed...asleep. she says, bhabhi you haven eaten yet? Naku wakes up and smiles and replies, I'll wait for Saab. Madhu says , why wait for him, can be possible he might have eaten out side already!
Dutta enters the lounge and swaggers in waistcoat in hand .Naku turns her head at he sound! she says to Madhu! sounds like Saab has arrived home.
In the kitchen Dutta, uncovers lids of empty dishes.. he slams the metal lids, seems every pot was empty! He yells, Nakusha! Nakusha .and Madhu asks her how did you know he has arrived and she replies with a smile..a wife knows.. you go and dish out his food for him.. madhu looks worried.. no bhabhi you serve him he'll like it , but Naku replies, I too want to but.. it's in a drunken state he's calling me, I want that he should call me in his senses! really Madhu the day he does that, I'll run to him , but not like this, when he is drunk.. you go quickly and serve him.
Dutta opens the fridge. Grabs a dish.. then drops his tray with a noisy crash! Making enough noise for her to come to the kitchen! and waits for the light in the kitchen door to cast a shadow .. a shadow appear quickly! and he stares at it.. episode ends, Hamlet53~ 30. 7. 14
It's now known to Dutta's associates that the man is under duress due to personal problems. Thus affording the break through to Chaskar to consolidate his position.
The last scene , has some self- assessment and moralistic guidance to Dutta with regards to his marriage..
Naku continues to put up a brave front before Madhu.. who seems to have become a replacement for Baji..
Aye Sahib.. continues to show that she sways easily ,when it comes to supporting Naku..
