Outdoors
Episode picks up from the point when Naku runs out of the gate! on to the road , where she bumps into Ganpat! hey mad girl! where the hell are you going ? she turns quickly and screams, Saab's life is in danger babaa! Babi too joins him and he blabbers, Bhau's life is in danger Babi! Babi screams, yes but don't let her go on her own! Ganpat shouts , yes I'll go ! you go in! ..Naku races on the road with double speed! Ganpat yells behind her, Naku! Naku! wait!
At the mandir
Dutta says, pandit ji , start the puja. Anna's man says, come start maharaj!. Naku runs like mad towards the temple. Purhoit ji, starts by chanting the mantra's. Every one joins in the worship with clasped palms. Ganpat on the road shouts, Naku wait! but she carries on running. Dutta listens to the mantras serious faced. The symbolic fire burns, as the gangsters wait for action. Dutta follows the rituals by pouring oil with a small spoon on to the fire. Naku runs and Ganpat follows her panting. The gangsters look around and wait for the moment to act. Dutta continues with the puja. Naku's feet run and run, followed by her father, who gets out of breath and stops for a breather. He sees a rickshaw approach, pulls out his flick knife and waves it out to the driver to stop the rickshaw.
Dutta continues with the ceremony and rituals. hey Naku! yells Ganpat , and pulls her into the rickshaw, and asks her where, and she replies mandir..ganpat orders the driver, to the mandir.. quickly! Naku cries hysterically and Ganpat consoles her. The gangsters nod to each other and the leader pushes himself forward and rises up on his feet and so do his men behind him. All look up to him.. he smiles and asks where is the Prasad? Kishore says it's over there ,I'll get it for you, and the man says quickly, no don't trouble yourself I'll fetch it myself, and he moves toward's godess Ambba's altar ,looks back to check Dutta busy in worship, his eyes closed... the man squats near the altar and opens his shoulder bag that contains a phial of poison.. he sprinkles it over the ladoos, and puts some drops in the vessel that's contains milk. All are in prayer. Naku pleads to her father, tell the man to hurry up!.. once the food and drink are poisoned Anna's gangster puts the bottle back in his saffron sack, and with a smirk carries the plate of Prasad , and the vessel of poisoned milk back to where the puja takes place. Naku shouts to the rickshaw driver , hurry up!
Puja ends and Anna's man approaches Dutta still sitting.. as he finishes the last section of the rituals. The gangster passes the platter of ladoos, and vessel of milk to his co gangster who goes outside the worship area and distributes the poisoned Prasad to the BGs all accept and eat. The man returns and gives the milk back to the lead gangster who holds the vessel in his hands..and watches as Purhoit ji comes forward and announces to all present who now stand.. all please receive the aarti. All of Dutta's family members receive the warm glow of the aarti. The last one to receive it, is Dutta. Purhoit ji , says the worship now ends, may god grant you happiness. Even though god protects everyone, yet we too need to pay heed to our own personal security.. this is life , and there are people here who have no faith in the almighty.the pandit finally gives Dutta a cryptic message.. Dutta asks Purhoit ji what do you mean?.. the gang leader answers instead, he means have faith in god and receive this parsad.. he moves towards Dutta with a smile.. The rickshaw carrying Naku and Ganpat stops at the mandir steps.
Naku races up the steps. The gang leader offers Dutta some water in a small spoon out of a small water vessel., Naku reaches the top! and Ganpat leaps up the steps too.. Naku runs across to the entrance and puja area of the mandir, where Dutta stands before the gangster spooning out holy water, who says, here Bhau! take some holy water.. he pours it into Dutta's cupped palms. Naku watches, her Saab's cupped palms. The gangster and his gang smile and lick their lips, as they wait for Dutta to drink.. the holy water. Ganpat gapes at the goons, he says, they are already here?..and he thinks..then moves off. Dutta brings his cupped hands and lowers his head and pouts his lips to drink.. but Naku barges in and pushes his hands roughly to his side. All look on in shock! especially Aye Sahib. Naku cries,. nehin! as Dutta turns his head and looks down at her.The gangster is shocked.Kala gives Naku, visual daggers.. Dutta growls at her, what are you doing? Naku stammers, breathlessly , Saab! your life is in danger and she glares at the gangsters! all these pandits are fraudsters !.. Dutta peers at them with narrowed lion like eyes. All stand in shock after hearing Naku's statement ..Naku screams, the real pandits came home looking for you!Dutta studies the gang leader. He, calmly looks at Dutta, whose eyes flash, his eye brows arch up, and his brow furrows. Aye Sahib, tells Naku off, Nakusha, who are you maligning? since years Purhoit ji has conducted puja in our family! Naku pleads, Aye Sahib, I swear on Bappa! that these people are imposters!.. Dutta begins to have doubts at the credibility of the Purhoit ji's associates. The gang leader stands silent ,..he might know that Dutta's wife holds no value in Dutta's household. Kala the Naku hater lady opens her mouth, Nakusha! you couldn't find anything else!so you turn up here to cause obstruction in worship! She snubs and negates Naku's accusations at the pujaris! The gang leader gives himself more clout and turns on Naku.. girl! coming to the temple and blaspheming against god is a big sin! Naku turns to look up into Dutta's eyes who looks down at her with confusion.. the gang leader starts again, Bhau you sprinkle holy water around the mandir and then drink it.. this girl has come and made everything unclean.Dutta stares at him with a fixed stern face... then gives Naku a sided glare. The man insists, don't refuse the parsad Bhau..sprinkle it and then drink it.. here.. drink.. he offers the vessel to Dutta , and Naku screams, Saab trust me! if you want, ring home and find out, the real pujaris will still be there! these imposters have been sent by your enemy ,she shouts! Dutta thinks , as do all the rest of his family.. the gang leader says very calmly, Bhau ,don't listen to this girl! sprinkle the water around and drink it.. Dutta stays silent but his looks pierce the man .. and slowly Dutta moves forwards to the man; stands before him his eyes lowered.. the vessel of milk between them.. he says in a guttural voice, I'll sprinkle it in all directions , pandit.. then he slowly raises his head and his eyes stare into the gangster's eyes...who blinks, and Dutta says, but this holy water you will drink first! he plus his gang stand confused at Dutta's demand.. Kala watches with interest...and so does the rest of his family. The man replies gently, but Bhau this puja is for you.. so you will drink the holy water first. Dutta with a stiff neck and stern eyes stares at the man. Dutta calmly nods his head, and goes, drink..the man looks confused, and says, first you drink Bhau... Dutta gets nasty.. hey pandit! and he starts to walk into the gangster, who looks perplexed. ..but Bhau this... Dutta walks on and the man backs off .. Bhau.. Dutta walks on and says, drink.. drink.. the man argues , buts it's for you.. Dutta repeats, drink..the rest of the gangsters, reach out for their guns from the saffron cloth shoulder bags they carry.. Dutta finally stops before goddess Amba's altar and both him and the gangster face each other ,and Dutta screams, hey pandit DRINKKK!.. all of Dutta's family look on in shock! As Dutta knocks the vessel out of the gangsters hand and it crashes on the floor! The milk had curdled.. all look in horror.. and Dutta looks up into the gangsters face in disgust and rage.. and Dutta twists his body and reaches out for his gun! which he feels is not there..he remembers this man had demanded that no weapons be carried in the temple during worship. Dutta wonders what to do? .. while the gangster looks at him amused...and twists his arm and reaches out for his gun from his shoulder bag.. and all others gangsters too pull out their guns.. and point them towards Dutta ! Purhoit ji , Naku, Aye , Kala, Roops , Leela, Sudarshan , Kishore , all stand wide eyed in shock!. The lead gangster points his gun at Dutta's forehead. Dutta's eyes flash at his face. Dutta stands as a target surrounded by pistols!. Dutta stares at their faces..with an , fearless expression.
Baji walks near the flower kiosk and Ganpat comes running to him. Baji rao , just found out Bhau's life's in danger! Baji 's jaw drops, a few BG's with him , and Ganpat pull their guns, Ganpat his switch blade and they run..
Back in the mandir Dutta stands facing these gangsters. Naku feels her mangalsutra with her palm, losing her breath. Kala looks worried. Aye Sahib turns and sees Dutta's BG lying dead on the grounds.. poisoned by ladoos. The family stand and watch Dutta held at gun point. Naku cannot stand it and she begs from a distance, I fold my hands before you! spare Saab! if you want take my life instead! let my husband go! she begs as Kala listens to her in disbelief. Saaab ko! and she tries to come forward.. Dutta shouts at her, heyyy! turns his head and gives Naku a killing glare! and she gives him begging looks , he flares his nostrils ,his narrow eyes tell her off..then he moves his neck back to face his captors. The gangster asks, so she's the queen of your heart? Dutta glares at him.. and the gangster turns to Naku, you'll sacrifice your life for him? Naku nods and says yes! and he turns to face Dutta and says, Bhau, you've married the right girl. Dutta stares at them with defiance. and then says, look Anna's enmity is with me,let my family go!..the gangster yells , loudly , Anna has asked us to bring Bhau! he's got nothing to do with Bhau's family! but if any one ties to act smart! then bullet in and life out! understood! He yells. The family is a bit relieved. Dutta gives the man a cold blooded look. Baji reaches the steps, climbs up with his men and reaches the worship area! points his gun and sees Dutta's profile, with goddess Ambba in the back ground, a gun aimed at his profile. Baji yells! Heyyy! The gangster turns to look at the caller, so does Dutta, and all his family.. Dutta surrounded by men and pointed guns at him,slowly.. turns his head and his eyes behold..that Baji had arrived..!episode ends Hamlet53~13.2.14

Loved the episode.. firstly because it was shot outdoors and not the prescriptive set of Patil Nivas..shooting out doors adds a further appeal of specific locality to the characters.
Next I am a lover of high drama.. whether it's Dutta's gunpoint wedding, or now this show of might in gods house.. of course it's unacceptable, the use of arms in the area designated for mass worship.. but there is irony in the gangsters words when he says, arms shouldn't be carried in the place of worship.. we know it's not out of reverence for the place.. but really to disarm and render Dutta helpless.
Seeing Ganpat being sensitive under the circumstances.. was pleasing , almost unexpected.. yes he has his own axe to grind, but for him in the end, to alert Baji to Bhau being in danger is nothing short of heroic!
Aye Sahib.. yet again means well, but put her foot in her mouth.. disarmed her son. thank heavens for Baji..
Naku.. very dramatic , take my life instead.. no wonder Dutta was going to rip her with his jaws! Kuch bhi bolte hai.. says any thing!
