The actress, who has turned to produc- tion and has been seen in few medium-budg- et films, has also appeared in a few adver- tisements. She was approached by Kapoor for the role in Kyunkii.. Recollects Kapoor, "It was Star's ex-creative head Shailja Kejriwal who had first suggested that Juhi will make an excellent Tulsi after seeing her in the Kurkure ad. She was my first choice." Apart from her mother (Shobhaa Kapoor) asking the actress to be a part of the show, Ektaa had also asked her friend Mushtaq Sheikh to talk to Juhi, Kapoor adds, "Juhi said she'd love to work with Balaji but isn't ready to be a part of the television medium yet." What's the latest with the Tulsi track? She says, "I will be in meetings with the creative head of the show, Nivedita Basu, for the next two days. Once we lock the storyline for the next 100 episodes, we'll have a clearer pic- ture about who will fit the bill out of the three actresses. There has to be a logical sim- ilarity between Tulsi and the new character in terms of physical appearance."
