Bobby Darling will be seen on the small screen once again. This time, Bobby will play a fashion designer in Nandita Mehra s serial Twinkle Beauty Parlour on Sab TV. "My character is on the lines of Manish Malhotra. I am a fashion designer and I groom young and talented models. My make-up in the serial bears resemblance to Rohit Bal. As the character is from Delhi, Manish and Rohit have been used as reference points. Apart from that there are no other similarites," says Bobby Darling. "I accepted the role because I liked the script and the character s position throughout the serial," Bobby says.

Incidentally, Bobby also plays a fashion designer in Madhur Bhandarkar s The Signal. "Everyone discouraged me to do the role in the film as it was a cameo. But when Madhur called me I went straight for the shoot. I like Madhur and it s a great opportunity to work with a talented person like him," she says. Bobby seems to be also excited about her role in Sangeeth Sivan s film Apna Sapna Money Money, in which she s playing Shreyas Talpade s friend.

As far as television is concerned, Bobby has always credited Ekta Kapoor for giving her a break in Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi. "Recently, Ekta promised me a meaty tailor-made role," she says.

Bobby feels that TV has given her more exposure as an artist. "I shall always be grateful to this medium, as everyone cannot afford to buy tickets and watch films. Today the reach of TV is unchallenged. I ll always give priority to a good serial than a bad film. I want to do different roles and prove my mettle as an actor," Bobby says.
