Back in October Tellychakkar had reported that Kabhi Kabhi Isse Junoon Kehte Hai would make its way on NDTV Imagine. Then it was speculated that this show will push Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family into a weekend slot. While there's still no clarity on the show's time slot, it's crystal clear that the title of the show has been changed from Kabhi Kabhi Isse Junoon Kehte Hai to Kitani Mohabbat Hai. News now comes in that the show has signed in Hiten Tejwani (Karan) and Sudha Shivpuri (Baa) from Kyunki…
As reported earlier the show is that of four sisters. A source from the production house informed, "The story is similar to that of the movie Taal and Balaji's old hit Kahin To Hoga. It has Hiten Tejwani whom Ekta Kapoor considers to be her lucky mascot. He will be essaying the role of a parallel male lead who falls in love with the protagonist. His role is similar to that of Anil Kapoor in the movie Taal. Sudha Shivpuri will be playing the girls aunt who is called Meetu Mausi.
The role of the protagonist was to be played by a newcomer Chetna Pandey but now the hunt for her replacement is on. The male lead will be played by a newcomer Karan Kunder who is Ekta's own choice. Ekta had spotted him on a popular networking site.
The source adds, "Actress Sheeba will be playing the aunt of the male lead. Her character is a negative one. Ashwini Kalsekar who is currently seen as Jigyasa on Kasamh Se was offered this role but she had a problem in managing her dates so Sheeba is now playing that role. Dimple Jhangiani who will be playing a sister of the protagonist has a negative role to play in the show."
Hiten Tejwani said, "I am not ready to comment on it as yet."
Balaji's Creative Head Nivedita Basu was unavailable for her comments. Sudha Shivpuri also remained unavailable for comment.
