Baa's character to die
Sudha Shivpuri who plays the lovable character of Baa in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, will die in a week's time on the show. Though, emotional Sudha refused to comment on it, Deputy Creative head of the show, Nevidita Basu, confirmed the news.
"We are planning to take a 5 year leap in the show and we have been discussing this idea of showing Baa's death. The show is going on for 9 years. The name of the show is Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and to show Tulsi as Baa, we have to show Baa's death in the show."

"We started off with showing her as a grandmother. She was definitely the pillar of the show. People used to touch her feet whenever she used to go anywhere. We are also very emotional as we have been attached to her character a lot. However we want to show her death in a very emotional nice and happy way."
Raju, the writer of the show, says "I used to write the show during the initial stage. When I resumed with Balaji recently the creative heads were discussing Baa's death. They wanted to show some reality in the show as she cannot live for years and years. We have not shot for the scene as of now. I have kept two-three options open for her death sequence. But it will not have drama in it … it will be completely simple and emotional."
Speaking about the buzz that the show will be going off air, Raju says "We haven't discussed the leap in great detail yet as we have heard that show will go off air but they have not instructed us to end the show as yet. So for time being, we will concentrate on Baa's death, which will air on Monday (November 3)."
