What Went Wrong? ~ Letter To Makers

Hellooooo there are so many things to talk about, don't know from where to start 😆 But I know where to end 😳 This is not a review post, this post is basically to highlight few things which in my opinion "Went WRONG" this week.

PROMO ~ Promos are meant to attract audience, to increase the excitement level of established viewers and to give birth to the curiosity factor between the fandom of other shows... KUDCA promos are these days all about "Pagdi Uncle" be it KB Roka one or the recent Brothel woman in both the promos they highlighted that Pathetic old man (I will talk about why he is pathetic in next point) instead of giving promo on

• Randheer's promise,
• Vashmay's marriage,
• Farooq doubting VashDheer,
• Amrit-Radha going to Brothel,
• Vashmay planning to run away,
• Vashmay getting caught,
• Randheer's efforts to win hearts etc etc. All these topics were promo type but makers wanted to make Pagdi Uncle the point of attraction and it was a very very lame idea.

Pathetic Pagdi Uncle ~ Honestly even Mogar is better than him... Makers wants to make him 'The Amrish Puri" of ITV but he is NOT that type because Amrish Puri was classy and he has no standard... There are many basic ways to show a generation gape conflict between Randheer and his Sasur Ji. For that such huge insult to a character like Randheer Raizada is not necessary. I mean you can have a difference of opinion with someone but being the head of the family you can't insult someone (Specifically that man who is going to marry your daughter) like that.... No SANE person will do that even in today let alone in 1947 when people used to literally worships their damads...

• Asking your daughter to spit out on the photo of ancestors
• Telling your damad to clean your shoes with his newspaper
• Telling your damad to make paan for you like a servant
• Doing emotional blackmailing all the time and talking rubbish about everything
• Finding every possible opportunity to insult a guest/damad

Such things are equal to mental torture and domestic violence... Established audiences of KUDCA are not going to take this rubbish and you can't attract new viewership with such low quality content.

LOVE Stories ~ 99% audiences watch this show for two love stories amidst the tragedy of Partition, I am repeating TWO love stories... AmDheer and VashmAY NOT BriDha. But VashmAy gets the most less screen space and AmDheer despite of getting so much space revolves around Pagdi Uncle and Mogar.... Is that even a possible way to gain TRPs? Absolutely NO. Yes you can't show romance everyday, I am not even asking for romantic scenes... Some family moments are most welcome but involving "Leads" and as far as I know Pagdi Uncle is not lead. Side characters are called as "Supporting/Side" characters for a "Reason"

I know people on SNS are asking for more screen space for VashmAY but IF giving more screen space means what they are showing with AmDheer at the moment... Trust me I don't want more space for VashmAY. I am happy with less VashmAy as I prefer Quality over Quantity.

You echoed my sentiments. The makers are obsessed with Pagdi, Mogar and BriDha 🤢. Also they are competing with SP and Colors by making the show Sasur-Damad.

Too much Pagdi uncle and Mogar is ruining the show and they can’t force viewers to accept BriDha as a couple.

Balance between both AmDheer and Vashmay where the makers focus on their dreams and aspirations in partition setting is necessary and them bonding with Radha and helping her

Faruq insulting Vashma and when UdHeer intervene, they are termed villians 👎🏼

Treatment meted out to Radha and the over promotion of BriDha as 'pyaar' ~ ye toxic rishta hai at most 👎🏼

Lack of meaningful VashMay scenes that substantiate progress of their relationship 👎🏼

Villians ka ghamand todo, humari ummedein nahi 😭

The only plus has been the saving grace of the Raizada fam who continued the roka and some beautiful AmDay, VashRit, UdHeer, VashDheer & AmDheer scenes. It is a humble request for you to forward our views and hope and pray they reconsider the dissappointment and 💔 they are giving the fans this past week.

We want to see our Fab5: AmDheer, VashMay & Radha together, bonding, happy and safe please. You can show Ranjhan's writing, Uday's hockey, Vashma's kathak, Randheer's Ullu paper cartoons, Radha's talent learned from the circus which she uses daily and all of them standing up for their love, respect amd dreams for the screenspace, we want to see progression on that front before Partition comes.

You are so right. Even non-romantic sweet scenes like Radha/Uday are ruined by creepy Brij stalking about. 🤢 They're giving too much time to side/negative characters. Aadha serial toh RabRab mein chala jaata hai aur baaki Pagdi Uncle khaa jaata hai. 😡 I want to see more bonding scenes between Fab5.

This week ended this show for me. I signed up for a romantic family drama with the partition as the background. I was looking for religion, family issues, etc. as a background, not all these negative characters and problems with Rab Rab Aunty and Lalaji and Farooq and KB and who knows who else.

I'm done. Signing off this from show until they get back to the actual storyline. PM me when the negativity is done and over with.

Thank you CVs. I asked you to get rid of Rab Rab Aunty and KB. Instead you added 10 more negative characters for no reason.

All of us here had signed up for something very different than what they are showing nowadays. The show has completely gone off track. The initial promo had promised to show the love stories of AmDheer and VashmAy; Amrit’s dream to become a writer and Vashma and Uday’s dreams to become a katthak dancer and hockey player respectively. Also, yes, Bridha as a couple is a big NO. All the makers are focusing on nowadays, is family drama and the forced Bridha relationship which nobody’s interested in. There are so many other things and genuine bonds you can explore, overdose of villains has become very suffocating for us.

Kindly look into this, else it won’t be long you’ll lose your audience.

You wrote all the things that's going wrong.... I hope cvs read this post and understand what they are doing with a promising show with a good concept and cast.... The butchering of storyline has started too soon... If they think they can repeat the success of Dabh by these dramatic tracks, then they are wrong... Star plus audience is different from sony tv audience.... Cvs needs to understand this fact sooner... Trp is already very less and will decrease even further if it continues like this.
