Thanks for sharing. Yes, she was also mentioned when Priya ji spoke about her poem Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye which you shared yesterday on the forum. If that is the inspiration, we are so blessed to witness snippets of her life story.
Although of what I have read of Amrita Pritam, her character Puro spoke more of the atrocities of society against women and peasants, their loss of identity and how they conformed to their roles, and Ranjhan is more about emotional and romantic independence. Maybe they might show that transition post Partition, where she sees women in the larger context bearing the brunt 😭
Amrit's story is indeed similar to that of Amrita Pritam including the name 'Amrit' plus Randheer is editor just like Amrita Pritam's husband. Randheer is a poet too thus he is basically a mixture of Amrita Pritam's husband and the person she had a crush (I don't know what else to say) on so AmDheer is definitely inspired from Amrita's real life means AmDheer for sure going to get married at a certain point.

Yeah with time along with Amrit as a person the writings of Ranjhan too will develop and mould in accordance with circumstances..
Amrita Pritam had a very sad life..she was married becoz of the family,she loved the man but he was afraid to give her commitment and got engaged /married to another girl...Her lyf was very tragic..infact her mother also died when she was small...
Coming to Randheer,yes mixture of the editor Pritam Singh and that poet..but still in that case,we won't get a happy journey of Amrit..
I feel they r just inspired by her dreams and her writing and included that in Amrit..and here she falls in love with Randheer also....
It is inspired..but it's not at all the same story....let's wait on how the show unfolds her journey..

Yeah obviously they can't just copy paste her whole life, the basic is inspired but makers going to take creative liberty and show something different. Still I feel AmDheer will get married 😆
