I really hope that this is a limited series as then we'll be able to see it's complete potential without extra melodrama.

most probably yes because the story is currently set in March 1947 Lahore. only 5 months to go for partition and independence. people are just interested in climax. there won't be any point to drag the show with survivors in India. yes india because Amrit is alive as per voice over in first episode and as she said that it was their last spring festival in Lahore.

It might not be limited, but the scope here is to focus on the Pre-Partition era which lasted only about 6-7 months so we'll get to see the love blossom and then their lives crash and burn with the context in mind. Looking forward to them keeping it subtle and realistic though since its Sony.
