The much-in-news couple Juhi and Sachin Shroff talks to TellyChakkar on everything from their relationship to their career to their future plans. Dispelling rumours of any chink in their marital armour the couple get candid in a first together interview in a long time.
On their love story….
Juhi: I remember we met for the first time during a pilot shoot for a show that never went on air. But we bonded during the shoot and became good friends. Finally after five months of courtship we got married.
On life after marriage….
Juhi: I have not at all changed after marriage. And the reason is that my in-laws have set no special conditions for me to follow. They have always given me space and have never forced me do anything. But one thing I have realised that after marriage you start depending on your partner to take any decision.
Sachin: I think I have become more responsible after marriage.
On their relationship….
Juhi: We trust each other. We started our relationship as friends and we have managed to stay good friends till now. We don't have to think before saying anything to each other as we are enough liberal and give space to each other. The only worst thing is that being actors we have to face a lot of dirty things at times.
Sachin: The best part of our relationship is that we keep surprising each other. It may sound a bit stupid but I always dreamt of a girl wearing a yellow saree and cooking food for me and she surprised me by doing exactly the same thing on my birthday.
On Sachin…
He loves me a lot and he is very flexible as a person. He gives me lot of space and I don't have to worry about him cheating on me as I have full faith in him. I know a lot of women will envy me but the best part of our relationship is that we trust each other completely.
On Juhi…
I love her honesty and she is full of life. She makes me feel special as I am a very simple and boring guy.
On annoying habits…
Juhi: He has a habit of forgetting things and to cover up his mistakes he often cooks up stories which annoys and irritates me.
Sachin: She is very honest and people often take advantage of it. I have told her hundred times to change this habit. She has to learn to be a little manipulative.
On conflicts…
Juhi: We fight on small things like any other husband and wife. I might scream on him for not paying the bill and he may shout at me for not doing some work. We do fight on small issues but patch up within 15 minutes. Every normal couple fights and if someone doesn't then they are not normal.
Sachin: We have never indulged in a big fight as such. We fight on trivial issues but then who doesn't?
On being very aggressive and short-tempered…
Juhi: I have always openly accepted that I am a short-tempered person. There is nothing to hide. In fact I have always said that it is something that I want to change about myself. And as far as being aggressive is concerned I think people mistake my honesty as aggression. I am not a hypocrite and I don't how to manipulate things. I am someone who speaks from the heart.
On health issues…
Juhi: I am not suffering from any major disease. It's just a thyroid problem. Why don't people understand that it's just a normal medical ailment which is curable? Why are people making a fuss about it? I went through a proper medical treatment and I am absolutely fit and fine now.
On weight issues…
Juhi: I want to specify to everyone who has been talking about my weight is that I have lost 9.5 kgs. Now I have the perfect body similar to my old days when I was acting in KumKum.
Sachin: She is working hard and she has lost almost 9.5 kgs. She is looking just like before. Initially she didn't take the weight issue seriously but after my constant pestering she finally decided to hit the gym.
On moving to a new house…
Juhi: While Sachin and I were part of Maa Exchange we had announced that we have bought a new house. We decided to buy a new house for the sake of comfort, convenience and privacy. If we would have been fighting then I don't think we would think of buying a new house but we would stay separately.
On comeback…
Juhi: I have been getting offers but I didn't sign any show as I needed time to establish my production house. However, I am considering two-three projects but I am yet to finalise one.
On doing shows together…
Sachin: People have offered different shows to us but we are currently focusing on our production house and it is practically not possible to focus on two things at the same time.
