"My wedding was a dream wedding. It was a perfect traditional Rajasthani wedding which took place in Jaipur last year.

Preparations
The wedding preparations had begun almost four months in advance. My father organized everything in Jaipur. My Dad had hired Mapsor wedding planners and they did a wonderful job of executing the wedding. It took lot of time to prepare for the wedding as mine was a grand dream wedding, almost like a fairy tale.

Since my friends from the television industry were coming we had booked the entire resort. From the venue to the invitation clothes and jewellery I was very choosy as I wanted everything to be perfect. The invitation card was lovely; it was maroon and orange in colour with Lord Ganesha in the centre.

Beauty regime and shopping
I have always been particular about my skin and hair. I followed the same skincare routine of removing makeup and using a cleaner and applying moisturizer. Before the wedding, though I did get a facial done.

I bought traditional kundan jewelry from Jaipur, which is my hometown and is known for beautiful jewellery. I chose my wedding clothes from designers in Mumbai and Jaipur. For the main function I wore an Archana Kochar red lehanga with a tinge of green and for the engagement I wore a gown. The lehenga for the wedding had cutwork and Swaroski fused in the stunning palette.

Premarital jitters
I had premarital jitters like any bride even though I knew Sachin well. Thankfully, Sachin handled it very well and made me more than comfortable about the whole idea of getting married and assured me that nothing will change after marriage and I wont be forced for anything. He has lived up to his promise.

To be honest, I get up late after my shoot, so was a bit worried about adjusting in his home. But my mom-in-law has been simply like my mom.

Ceremonies galore
Since mine was a very traditional wedding, it had all the ceremonies like haldi, Ganeshpoojan, mehendi and then the grand ones like sagai, sangeet and all. My engagement was on Valentines Day.

Grand wedding
All the guests were welcomed with dhol, tilak and flower garlands. The wedding was a complete Rajput affair with the bride arriving on the palki and the groom on a horseback. When Sachin saw my procession coming, he could not help but whistle. There was a performance by traditional Rajasthani dancers and the food was a lavish feast .The entire ground was lit up and looked ethereal and magical.

Memorable affair
The entire wedding was memorable and was full of laughter and tears too. Though I did not cry like a coy bride. I was definitely emotional. When the priest explained the rituals and said that after kanyadan the girl breaks ties with her parents and starts new ties. I argued with him and said that a bride starts new relationships but does not break old ties.

I was happy as everything seemed beautiful and everyone around was happy. It was a big celebration and my wedding day was more than brilliant, it was perfect. The credit goes to my parents and my sister for making sure that I get to live my dream wedding and they made me feel like a princess!"
