Sriti: Shyam ka deewana toh saara brijdhaam; Log karen Meera ko yunhi badnaam (quoting a bhajan; I think the meaning is roughly that everyone worships/loves the god Krishna, people blame Meera unfairly for no reason for being devoted to Lord Krishna - please correct me if this explanation is not completely right)

Sriti: I am Meera. She (Tanu) is Radha (who came to Krishna's life way before Meera)

Shabir: So who am I in all this?

Sriti: You are Krishna!

Shabir: Ok, Krishna. I am Krishna. Hi!

Sriti: And he was a musician too *mimes Krishna playing the flute*

Shabir: Yeah he was a rockstar also.

Sriti: Yeah!


Ok maybe it doesn't translate well, but I just really love this exchange. It's early in the show, when TiSha's off-screen friendship was still developing, so they're not quite as naturally at ease together as you see now since they were still relatively new coworkers. But already you can see how quickly their minds work and how they will get into the habit of riffing off each other!

I also love this for the thought behind Sriti's words, she is being diplomatic and defending Tanu's position as well as Pragya's while still emphasizing Abhi as the center of focus. Not all of us might agree with the comparison but I thought it was great for Sriti to answer the question that way. I don't remember what the question actually was, probably something like, "What about the fact that Tanu is still in Abhi's life"? 😆
