I'm here with my new Ashni story in which I have presented the second anniversary of Ashutosh and Nidhi while the first anniversary I presented in my previous story titled "Rutho na Humse...
Here it goes...please do give it a read...
It was as always a chilled winter morning but unlike other days Ashutosh woke up before Nidhi...he wanted to give her a surprise today and make up for what he missed the previous year on their first anniversary...this time he had decided that he would spend the entire day with his beautiful wife.
Flashback
On their first wedding anniversary, Ashu was busy in the hospital in the surgery of a 6 year old child who had met with an accident. But he kind of made up during the evening when he gifted her a diamond necklace and they went for a drive together).
Present day
Ashu woke up and without making slightest of noise slipped out of the bed and took a shower. He knew Nidhi would wake up any time so he had to be quick...so that he can surprise her in a way he wanted. After bath he went to the kitchen and made tea for both of them. When Nidhi woke up, she was surprised that he wasn't sleeping and she started thinking that maybe today also he went to the hospital early. She was just about about to move out of the bed when she saw him coming with a tray in his hands.
Ashu: Good morning...to humari Madam uth gayi...maine to socha tha ki tumhe jagaaunga aur surprise dunga...tumne to saara surprise kharab kar diya...
Nidhi: par yeh sab kya hai...aap itni subah...aur chai ke saath...
Ashu: hmm... peekar batao...kaisi bani hai...aaj kitne time ke baad banayi hai...
As she took a sip from the cup, she was lost in the taste and the aroma of the tea that he made...more so of the love for her that was there in it...
Ashu: Happy Anniversary Nidhi...aaj tum aur main...poora din ek saath rahenge...aaj no hospital, no phone calls...nothing...only you and me...ok...
Nidhi had a big smile on her face and she understood that Ashu wanted to make up for the last years' deficit. Both of them had tea and then he asked her to get ready as they had to move out early. He just told her that he had planned it up for the entire day and she shall just be ready to enjoy the day. She soon got ready and he too made breakfast for both of them. He knew her choice well by now and he made all his favourite meals in breakfast. After that they both went to the nearby Gurudwara to get blessings from the Almighty and they served the people coming for langar there and they themselves too had food there. After spending around 2-3 hrs there...he had planned to go for a new movie that had been recently released. Although he wasn't much interested in Bollywood movies but he knew that Nidhi loved Salman Khan movies. So he had booked tickets for a Salman Khan movie only. Nidhi was totally surprised to see him take her out for a movie that too Salman Khan...that was very unlike Dr Ashutosh...but she was enjoying every bit of the day.
The movie got over and Ashu told her that they were now going for lunch in a new chain of hotels that had recently come up in Lucknow...the Imperial group of Hotels and he had booked a table there for both of them. When they reached there, the table was already prepared for them. One by one the waiters were serving them as Ashu had advised them to. They were enjoying their lunch when someone came upto Nidhi and surprised her...he was none other than his MBBS batchmate Avinash.
Avinash: Hi Nidhi...
Nidhi: Avinash tum...what a pleasant surprise...tum yahan kaise...
Avinash: yeh mere uncle ka hotel hai...main unse milne aaya tha ...to yahan tumhe dekha to socha itne saalon baad mil liya jaaye...kaisi ho tum...
Nidhi: main achhi hu...meet my husband Dr Ashutosh...naam to suna hi hoga...Lucknow mein sabse famous neurosurgeon hain... why don't you join us for lunch...
He saw Ashu and was surprised to see him and stood still for few seconds...but seeing Nidhi's happiness, he greeted Ashu and and sat on a chair with them only. Nidhi told Ashutosh about Avinash and that he was a very good friend of hers in her MBBS days but after that there was no contact between them as she shifted to Lucknow for internship. They were both discussing their college days and Ashu excused himself to go to the washroom (actually he wanted to give them some time separately together as they had met after so long time). Avinash was quiet once Ashu left...
Nidhi: arey tumhe kya hua...abhi tak to theek they...achanak chup kyun hog aye?
Avinash: (with a stare at her) to tum yehi chahti thi...really...is liye tumne mujhe mana kiya tha?
Nidhi: matlab...what are you saying?
Avinash: tum bachhi nahi ho Nidhi jo samajh nahi sakti...but if you still want to hear...to suno...I'm shocked to see ki tumne apne se doguni umar ke insaan se shaadi kar li...and jab maine tumhe propose kiya tha...tab...tab tumne yeh kehkar mujhe mana kiya tha ki tum tab tak sure nahi thi ki tumhe kis tarah ka insaan chahiye apne liye...to tumhe aisa insaan chahiye tha (with a taunting smile) I'm amazed to see ki tum jaisi ladki aise insaan ko pasand kaise kar sakti hai? I mean...just look at him and look at you... Mujhe really tum par taras aata hai...ki...
Nidhi: Avinash...stop it...just stop it...tum jaante kya ho unke baare mein...sirf ek baar dekhkar tumne judge kar liya ki wo kaise hain...see...yehi farak hai tum me aur unme... tumhe kya pata ki unhone mere liye kya kya kiya hai...kya kya saha hai...aur unki meri life mein kya jagah hai? tum kabhi nahi samajh sakte...aur main tumhe kyun samjhaaun? Tum hote kaun ho hume judge karne waale...I'm glad ki meri shaadi tum jaise insaan ke saath nahi hui...warna pata nahi kya hota... agar tumhe yehi sab baatein karni hain...to just leave right now...nahi to hum abhi yahan se chale jaate hain...
Ashu was seeing all this from some distance...he was so happy to see Nidhi arguing for him and for their relation with her very good friend. He very well knew that Nidhi won't let anyone pass coments on their relation but wished that any such incident hadn't happened on their very special day. When he saw Nidhi leaving he immediately went to her and stopped her...
Ashu: arey Nidhi kya baat hai...kahan jaa rahi ho?
Nidhi: hum kahin aur chalte hain...mujhe yahan ghutan ho rahi hai...chaliye na yahan se please...
Ashu: achha achha challenge...tum yahan aaram se baitho...main bills clear karke aata hu...then we'll go...Avinash...aap bhi baitho please...
Nidhi had to sit on Ashu's insistence but she was very uncomfortable sitting with Avinash who was just looking at her but she was looking away from him waiting for Ashu to be back. Avinash was feeling guilty for saying all that to her...but when he saw her unexpectedly, his feelings for her surfaced which were somewhere hidden inside his heart. He still loved her and wasn't able to move ahead in his life because of her only. He wanted to say sorry to her once but...
"Hello everyone here...I am Dr Ashutosh and today I want to treat all of you present here on the occasion of our anniversary...Please all of you enjoy yourselves... Nidhi was shocked to see Ashu standing with a mike in his hand and speaking to everyone present there.
Ashu: but before that I would like to introduce my wife Nidhi to all of you...Nidhi...can you please come here for me...
The spotlight moved to Nidhi and she got up feeling shy...she never expected him to do anything of this sort...she moved towards him in small steps looking here and there while everyone there was clapping for her...she reached close to the stage and Ashu held her hand and made her stand close to him.
Ashu: Nidhi...aaj main tumse kehna chahta hu ki tum ho to main ho...tum nahi to main kuchh bhi nahi...thank you for coming into my life ...thank you for making my life worth living...thank you for all that you've done for me...I'm so thankful to my destiny ki tumne mujhe apne liye chuna...I love you Nidhi...I love you very much...
Nidhi had tears in her eyes and they were tears of happiness...as she never could dream of such a moment in her life when he would express is love for her in front of so many people...the entire group of people there clapped for both of them and then Ashu offered a dance with her...and she happily agreed...
The song played in the background...'tum ho...paas mere...saath mere ho tum yu...'. ...and they danced together hand in hand and many other couples joining them for the dance. Avinash was feeling ashamed for what he did and he realised that he had been so wrong in judging him and his love for Nidhi...after the dance Ashu and Nidhi were about to leave the hotel when Avinash came up to them and said sorry to ashutosh and Nidhi.
Avinash: I'm sorry Nidhi...mujhe wo sab nahi kehna chahiye tha...Dr Ashutosh...mujhe aapko bhi sorry kehna hai...maine aapko bahut galat samjha...
Ashu: its ok...insaan se hi galti hoti hai...apni galti ka ehsaas hona hi sabse badi baat hai... tumne realise kar liya...wo hi bahut hai...now just relax...its ok...Nidhi...hum chale...
Nidhi was surprised to hear him...she realised that Ashu knew why Avinash was saying sorry...when they came back to their car...Ashu saw Nidhi confused...he told her that he had heard Avinash saying all that to her...but he asked her to forget everything and enjoy herself...they shouldn't be spoiling their day for such small small things. The rest of the day was spent in a musical concert which was being organised in Lucknow. Ashu had planned a dinner together with the entire hospital staff in the hospital and he had invited the child with his parents as well for dinner whom he had operated one year back. He had recovered fully by now and they were very happy to be a part of the celebration after one year...after all this day marked a new life for their child also...
P.S This is such a fabulous coincidence that today is the anniversary of our favourite forum couple Bawa Bro and Swati Bhabhi and today itself I'm posting this OS...I hope all of you like the OS ...The love of AshNi is as beautiful as is the love between Bro and Bhabhi...Love AshNi and love you both😃🤗
