Hello all,
Some urgent work has come up. Will reply to all your lovely ommments asap. Update Sunday or Monday. The forum is not so active and there are few members here. But I am happy to write even if the few of you here are going to enjoy it. It seems naming Ashu's sister Mallika has been a turn off for a few. To me, it makes a no difference if she is called Mala, Neela, Sheela or even Uma. I called the siblings Mallika and Rohan because I was too lazy to think of other names. Other than the names, the characters have nothing in similar to the charcacters from the show, even Ashu and Nidhi for that matter. But if calling Ashu's sister Mallika is such an irritant, I am happy to change her name to X, Y or Z.The sister is a mischief maker here and it somehow seemed appropriate to call her Mallika. Also, whatever Mallika of the show may have thought, Ashu did not see her as anything other than a friend and even valued her more than a blood sister.Anyway, the sister will now be called Vidya. Also, this is not a very dramatic story with twists and turns. Not intense like Tere Mere Sapne. It will be a simple, sweet story because that is what I want to try my hand at 😃

Welcome Back Uma Dear. One of my top favorite writers is back with a bang ! Your first foray TMS will always remain close to my heart. That was such a fabulous journey from complete darkness to bright sunshine.
Loving this novel concept of Ashni story set in the seventies. The class divide so evident in those times, have experienced this in my growing up years. Parents of middle class families wary of their progeny mixing up with the rich and well to do. The social strata does not hinder the friendship between Nidhi and Anji though Nidhi's parents are apprehensive about their bonding. So on your readers' demand Mallika has been rechristened as Vidya. Yes a haughty sister in law can create havoc in the life of a young bride.
You have given a very realistic and beautiful portrayal of the first meeting of Ashni and their respective families. The bride's parents naturally considering it an honor that their daughter is getting an alliance from such an affluent and respectable family. The bride and groom unabashedly devouring each other at first sight, and her parents' reaction to this was brilliant. The sister inspecting everything around her with a condescending attitude. The parents accepting the bride wholeheartedly with their warm words.
But the best part of your opening update was Ashu's classy and elegant behavior, his admiring looks at Nidhi sort of sealing a pact between them and his last line took the cake. Now waiting eagerly to read this sweet delectable story in your inimitable style as two strangers move ahead from first glimpse to betrothal to wedded bliss.
