-- no shirley, m not disheartened by the no. Of comments... I was only disappointed... The only reason, I'm asking for my time is, I'm not able to invest so much time for my fic on regular basis... U urself know, how long it takes to write one chap... I'll slowly n gradually do it... But, not with commitment...
If you feel disheartened, just imagine how i would feel i dont even get 5-6 decent comments - whatever 5-6 coments i get are simply a few words.

I wish you would get time to update it as soon as possible. Will always wait for your updates whenever you find time. CHAPTER-8
DB: Nidhi, jaa, tu apne kamre mein jaa... Main abhi teri koi shadi nahi karwa rahi... Hargiz nahin...
Listening this, Ashu gave a tired sigh & closed his eyes in dismay... Nidhi turned towards Ashutosh & said," Dr. Ashutosh, aap kuch bolte kyu nahin... kahiye na DB se, ke aap bhi mujhse pyaar karte hain... Dr. Ashutosh, ab ye mujhse dubaara nahin hoga... Boliye na inko..."
There was endless love, yet helplessness in Ashutosh's eyes...
A: ( cupping her face) Nidhi, I do love you, & will love you forever... But, Db & baba ki baat toh sunn lo... Ke aakhir wo kehna kya chahte hain...
N: Mujhe kuch nahin sunna... Main bas itna janti hoon, ke main aapse bohot-bohot pyar karti hoon.. Aapke saath rehna chahti hoon, aapse shaadi karna chahti hoon... ( Then she turns towards her baba, sat on her knees, & held his hands in hers) Baba, Baba maine har baar aapki baat maani,Aapne jaise kaha, maine waise kiya, Main science stream mein nahi jaana chahti thi, lekin aapke khaatir gayi; main doctor nahi banna chahti thi, lekin wo bhi bani, aapki khaatir... Aapne Jagan se mera rishta fix kar diya, maine wo bhi maan liya, aur kuch nahi boli... Haalaki, tab bhi mere dil mein Dr. Ashutosh hi they... Aapne meri zindagi ka jo faisla liya, wo maine maan liya...Kya aaj aap meri khaatir, mera faisla nahi maan sakte..? Shaadi hokar jab meelon door, main tadap rahi thi, apne maa-baba ke liye, tab ye dono ( she pointed towards BB & Sudha) mere maa-baba baney... Baney kya... Ussey bhi badhkar bane... DB aur Shyama Aunty se toh maa ka ehsaas mehsoos kiya hai.. Inn maa se toh, maa ke hone ka swaad chakha hai... Baba kya aap mujhse ye sab cheen lenge? Aur kya wajah hai, jo aap iss rishtey ko manzoor nahi kar sakte hain? Kya buraayi hai? Kya aap Dr. Ashutosh ko nahin jaante? Unke maa-baba ko nahi jaante? Kya wo mujhe koi takleef hone denge...? Aur iss baar toh main isi sheher mein rahoongi... toh phir kya pareshaani hai? Kyu?
To this, Db interrupted...
DB: Nidhi, iss waqt tumse ye sab nahin hoga...
N: Kyu nahin hoga DB? Kyu?
DB: Arrey bacche, tu kya-kya karegi iss waqt? Beemaar alag hai...
N: Aur agar main insey alag hui na, toh aur beemaar ho jaungi... Aur mujhe karna hi kya hai...?
DB: Bachhe, tujhe apna ilaaj shuru karwaana hai, phir din bhar ghar mein baithkar kya jhak maaregi? Naukri-waulri nahi karni? Toh phir kaahe ke liye Daactar bani tu? Jab kaam hi nahi karegi...
Although this gave Nidhi a big relief, yet her prime objective was not fulfilled...
N: Par, in sab se, iss rishtey ko naa kehne ka kya lena-dena...?
DB: Maine aisa toh kabhi nahin kaha... Maine sirf ye kaha, ke main abhi teri shaadi nahi kara rahi...Main chah rahi thi, ke pehle tu iss schedule mein jam ja... Phir dekhenge... Par theek hai... Agar tu apne ilaaj aur naukri ke saath, shaadi ki shopping kar sakti hai, toh theek hai...( She turned towards CV) Yog, bula le Pandit ko, muhurat nikalwa iss ladki ki shaadi ka...
Nidhi looked with startled eyes towards Ashutosh, then towards her Baba & then Db... And finally gave a whoop of joy...
N: Really!!!! Sach mein Db??? Wow!!! I can't believe it...!!!! Dr. Ashutosh, Db aur baba maan gaye...( And she ran towards him... But was stopped in tracks with DB's words)
DB: Lekin shaadi tak Nidhi humaare saath rahegi... Humaare yahan, ladkiyaan Shaadi se pehle, apne sasuraal mein nahin rehti... Theek hai na Ashutosh?
Ashutosh, who had a 4000 watt smile on his face, hearing the acceptance from his In-laws-to-be, lost his smile in some drain, hearing the heart wrenching decision of his MIL... He looked cute making those lost, puppy expressions, that, everyone burst out laughing his state...
Anji entered the hall of the house, where everybody was & came towards Ashutosh & said-
An: Koi baat nahi Jeeja ji... (and she started humming on behalf of him) Le jaiyenge, le jaiyenge, Dilwaale Dulhaniya le jaayenge... Reh jayenge reh jaayenge, Db Aur baba dekhte reh jaayenge...
And Anji & Ashu high fived... But, more than this, Nidhi was lost in the thot, that finally, Anji has accepted her hubby-to-be as her Jeeja ji... Earlier, when she was getting married to Jagan, she never addressed him this way... Nidhi was quite happy with this new relation...Nidhi's chain of thoughts was broken by Anji..
An: Kya hua Nidhi? Kahan kho gayi... Sorry, main tujhse mil nahi paayi... (and both the best friends hug each other, as if, met after generations... A sense of peace on both the friends faces...)
Pandit decided the date of engagement to be the next day, & the wedding to be after 3 months...
Everybody started preparing for the engagement... Soon, there was all buzz around in the house... DB, Shyama Aunty & Sudha, started preparing for the Puja next day; CV, Kapil Solanki went for the caterers... BB did the supervision work... Ashutosh had called Armaan to tell the news, n so Armaan & Avantika decided to take Ashni for the dress & ring selection for the next day...
Ashni, Armaan & Avantika were sitting in the jewellery shop, when Ashu selected a ring for Nidhi... It was a sapphire stone ring, surrounded by White diamonds, on a Platinum ring... Nidhi had selected a male suited, similar Platinum ring for Ashu...
Next was the dress Selection... Ashu had specifically cleared, he did not want to wear any heavy sherwani on the engagement, n would wear it only on the wedding functions, so as per his choice, He chose an Off-white, light goldenish, pyajama Kurta, with little golden embroidery done on it... Nidhi has picked up a Peach-Baby pink colour combination shiffon saaree, with patch-work and a little Lucknowi work on it...
It was the day of engagement, Nidhi had stayed back with her DB & Baba, Ashutosh had brought her luggage as it is to her home from his...
Anji was helping her get ready for the functions for a day... She did her some make-up, with light pink eye shadow, and light coloured lip stick... Made her wear Golden coloured Jhumkaas, with Pink stones on it... And a thin chain in the neck... Giving her ethenic, yet, graceful look... Next Anji adjusted her hair, in a small puff and half of the hair, pinned, leaving the rest open... And giving the final touches, put,a delicate head locket on her forehead & matching to her dress, hand full of bangles...
Soon, Ashutosh, his parents, along with HK, Armaan & his parents, along with Avantika & Pallavi came to Nidhi's home with Shagun...
Soon, the puja started, followed by The Engagement Ceremony, where the couple exchanged the rings...Followed by loud round of applause... The whole KGH staff & Nidhi's friends were invited to officially declare their relation...
Nidhi was sitting with Armaan, Avantika, & Anji, when Ashutosh came towards her, with an envelope, and handed her...
N: Ye kya hai, Dr. Ashutosh?
A: Appointment Letter...
N: Kis cheez ka?
A: Dr. Nidhi, I had applied in KGH for a paediatrician, on your behalf... The dean of the hospital, with the management, have decided, to appoint you therein...
N: Oh! Thank you Dr. Ashutosh! I should even thank the dean of the hospital... Can you please tell me, where can I find him...?
Ashu kept a straight face & said-
A: Wo personally, aapse nahin milna chahte... Ek kaam kijiyega, kal jab aap joining dein, tab thanks keh dijiyega...
Their bitter-sweet conversation was broken by Armaan...
Ar: Oh!!! Romeo & Juliet... Ye apni thanks giving apne cabin mein kal kar lena... Abhi chalo, Bohot bhookh lagi hai...
Next morning, Nidhi, enthusiastically, got ready for the hospital & cheerfully went on her first day to the hospital... She was warmly welcomed by everyone... Towards the end of the welcome party, Ashu came towards Nidhi, with a lady Doctor...
A: Nidhi, meet Dr. Singhal... you know her?
N: Ofcourse, Dr. Singhal is one of the famous Psychotherapist of the town... Good morning Ma'am...
DS: Good Morning Dr. Nidhi... Its my pleasure meeting as well as treating you... I had a word with your previous Doctor... So, Nidhi, we can start your therapy from today onwards... You can do your duty for the day & towards the end, we can have ur treatment...
Soon Ashutosh took Nidhi to her cabin...
A: Welcome Dr. Nidhi... This is your cabin... Kaisa laga???
N: Bohot achha hai, Dr. Ashutosh... I really like it... thanx...
Ashutosh waited for a few moments, & then said-
A: Emmm... Nidhi, Now you can thank your Dean...!!!!
