Hello everyone!

With season 3 I had started hating a certain Stalker Voldemort so much that i had forgotten the OG vighn in our Devakshi ka do tarfa pyaar!

Shri Ishwari Dixit (wannabe Dev life partner 🤢)

But I recently watched S1 Episode 245 and was reminded why I despised Ishwari.(thanks WaterSprout for that)

It's not because she is a clingy mother or because she is a horrible parent to her daughters (and even her son but in a different way) or because she was an absolute horrendous MIL or because she was too obsessed with her own son or because she was under the delusion that she is the only mother in the world to have struggled for her children (tbf all the Dixits were under this delusion) or because she was so blinded in her hatred of Sona that she was going to destroy the life of 2 of her daughters

As you can see there is a looong list of reasons

But the reason why I hate her so much is:

She never ever ever ever accepted her fault and was also not held accountable for the same. Everything bad that happened was someone else's fault, everyone else needed to see her perspective or the best! Her brother should have stopped her 🤬🤬🤬🤬

She never learns from her mistakes, she is always blaming others people and NO ONE makes her feel the consequences of her actions!

So let's discuss what according to you is the worst ISHWARI FAILS AS A MOTHER/MIL/SISTER/PERSON moment.

Mine is:

When Dev was unwell and had a horrible cold. Ishwari was soo upset with Sona because she I think gave him icecream.

And she refused to listen to Sonakshi (ya know THE DOCTOR!) and carried on with her "Gharelu nuskhe" 🙄

And when Sona got Dev in the ice bath was so angry with her that she accused Sona if wanting Dev to die!!

And if that's not all, once the doctor confirmed that Sonas actions were correct and helped Dev not slip into a freaking Coma!! What reaction did Ishwari give?

Was she a grateful mother who was thankful that her son was going to get well soon? Nu uh! That would be too Normal.

No no our Ishwari Maate instead decided to taunt Sona about how she must be gloating mann hi mann because her technique worked. And then decided to make it all about herself (who is surprised tho, she always does that) and compare it to how Sona had the better method so she must be the old useless one 🙄🙄🙄

I just hate that moment with a passion! It's a very small thing but the way she made that situation about herself as well just 🤬🤬🤬

Do share what according to you is her worst moment.

I told one of my friends that I'm watching this show. She said that this one is just not my cup of tea

She said that this show has an anti-hero who is as good as a villain ...now I'm really curious 😆

Anyways...even from the short stint of Ishwari that I had seen in S3....her interfering in a married couple's issues should just not be blamed on her. Her son is equally responsible for not creating that boundary. Unless of course he has a sick idea that a wife and a mother are same....have the same roles in his life.

For me her worst moment is when she tells Sona to hide while serving Dev her horribly made Halwa *just* so that she could hear him criticize it.

What a vile, mean thing to do to someone.

Agreed omg, her son is the worst! 🤦🏻‍♀️

There are so many moments where Sonakshi clearly tells him that his mother did something or said something disrespectful, and every time he dismisses her saying "tumhe galat fehmi hui hogi"

He gives her keys to his cupboard, and she cleans it and everything for him. She even tries to creepily inspect the lingerie Dev bought Sonakshi in the days following their wedding.

Dev never sees her faults, even when he does- he won't acknowledge them. Ever. It's the most frustrating relationship.

There are so many disgusting things she did, it's kind of hard to choose one moment.

I'd say the whole fake pregnancy track. Sona was going through a lot and this woman managed to make even that about herself. When Sonakshi asked her if she would still accept her if the treatment failed, she just beat around the bush but wasn't even ready to say a simple yes. Dev too. In that moment, my respect for the mother-son duo as humans (and not just as husband/MIL) went completely down the drain.

Dev had absolutely no problem telling her he doesn't want kids and just her the night before. But as soon as he knew that his mom wouldn't accept Sona if she couldn't get pregnant, he had no answer.

A life partner is supposed to be your greatest cheerleader. But a slave cannot support anyone, can he? Cause that's exactly what Dev is. A slave to his mother's whims and fancies.

Moreover, the track showed that Ishwari was more than aware of the efforts Sona was putting into their (nonexistent) relationship. She was just way too blinded by greed, fear and jealousy to accept that.

Let alone God, her being decent human is also questionable.

Despite all this, she at least redeemed herself somewhat. I'm not counting S3 because they just negated the character development.

But Dev didn't even get that which is what I'm the most salty about.

That fact that Dev never got it will bother me forever. Her redemption actually was nice in a way, but it makes me so angry that nobody called her out the way she should have been called out.

Except those times right after both breakups when Dev had a drunken confrontation with her, and that one time when he told her to stop interfering in his life - he has never once acknowledged the problems she has caused him.

But more than anyone, all my anger is directed towards Mamaji. Every YouTube comment calls him a wise character and how he and Asha are the best. He saw everything every single time. Dev didn't. But he never stopped her, never admonished her, never tried to protect Sonakshi despite being the most friendly with her.

On top of that Mamaji just created so many problems unnecessarily. What was the need to tell Ishwari about Dev/Sona dating. That's really where it started

Do you think he kept quiet because he is, after all, living at her mercy? Maybe he knows that if Ishwari asked Dev to get a separate house for Mamaji's family, he wouldn't think twice?

Or maybe it's because he's seen her struggle all these years and doesn't want to give her more pain?

In any case, it's clear where his loyalties lie. It might be as simple as that.

Her son is most definitely equally responsible! I love Dev but he just makes me scream sometimes. Idk how he thinks the level of interference Ishwari does is okay? While I agree that one should always give priority to our parents, a mature adult knows how to give the same importance to your spouse as well. Especially considering how much Sona accomodates.

Not only did Dev want Sona to be just as devoted to his mom as he is but he didn't really reciprocate that with her parents.

I think somewhere Dev and Ishwari think they are the only people ever to make sacrifices for their family and expect others to be in constant awe of that.

Bold- I think his mom sure does have that idea in her head 😂
