Hey,
What do you guys think of Krishnaben Khakhrawala's character? I mean, she is too good to be a real person. I mean the situations are just so unrealistic that it makes it all seem so silly. How does one person run a business and happy all the time? All the time she says "Jai Ambe" and it just became irritating to me. What do you guys think? I know it's only the second day but I just couldn't get into the show because of how fantastic her character was portrayed.

Thoughts?

Yes, it's very hard to accept someone being so strong. Go through all these problems and yet smile. But it's not hard for them. I think her character is awesome. But I doubt the public will accept such a daring serial over mind polluting shows displaying sickening so-called 'romance(s)'.
Sometimes it's good to have something positive on the television. There is enough negativity of all the so-called saas bahu villans and new creative ones of nowdays.
I can understand why she repeating "Jai Ambe" is so irritating to your mind. The mind cannot accept hearing God's devotoees' names. Why would yours? So that's okay.
I think the show will help you become more positive. You should keep watching it. 😛

i agree also; before the show started when the character sketch was given for her the same thing came to my mind but i guess that is what serials are for.

I mean obviously we want our serials to be realistic unlike whose we have experienced in the past with unbelievable storylines however if you think about it, generally serials are watched to ease us off from our normal everyday life so there's going to be something unrealistic about a show.

just hope it doesn't get worse

Maybe I wasn't so clear in the message I was trying to get through. I like that she has overcome all hurdles and is still strong but the situations they show to convey that seems unrealistic. I mean, how plausible is the issue with the guy on the cell that gets into an accident and then Krishnaben gives this long bhashan or lecture to him and makes him promise before God to never talk on his cell phone while driving his bike. And then, the guy accepts his mistake and promises.

It's really fantastic that she's positive, in fact I prefer these type of carefree serials. I remember watching Baa Bahu aur Babyy every time and Ghar Jamai etc. I appreciate the positivity and happiness that these serials spread instead of the dread of saas bahu.

I'm not sure if you are insulting me or actually just kidding. My religious affiliations don't have much to with this. I don't mind people chanting god's name; it's done in every serial and in every home. The fact that she says it as a response to everything makes it irritating. I mean understand we say god's name during good and bad, night and day but she pushes a little bit to the point where all I hear is Jai Ambe or some bhashan about believing in God. I hope you are understanding my point.

Yeah, we all need something good to forget our daily lives and the stress but whenever I watch the show, I get more stressed. I mean, she seems like too great of a person which makes it all the more fake. I know it would be great to have her a mom or someone in my life but she seems so overpowering and at the same time she's trying not be so it sends a mixed message. She's such a dominating mother that she won't let her kids help her to the point where they feel ridiculously guilty and useless. All they are there for is to study, like what kind of life is this if they can't be of use to their own mother? But when they show scenes with her (dead?) husband, she seems so fragile and delicate as a wife. I guess she had to harden up after her husband's death or whatever but it seems so inconsistent with a character. And even her lectures about every little thing just is beyond annoying. She giving a long speech about random stuff and then everyone actually likes to listen to it! My mom always points out her speeches and tells me to apply the same to my life. That just drives me crazy!! Maybe I'm just a really bad person and can't handle good advice?? Haha or maybe she just gives too crazy of advice that sane people can't even listen to?

I certainly dont think anyone is bad for not been able to implement these philosophies; i mean no one can because we are not all perfect. My sister often wonders and shares with me if one can actually be so good and we have ongoing disscussions about this, to which i say that i hate having to listen to philosophies as they are impssible to follow and the philosophers themselves dont probably follow them...so in that case i must be bad too right lol.
On a serious note but, having listening to her it really doesn't annoy me, strangely maybe because i learn a lot watching some serials for example ba bahu aur baby. I really learned a lot of good things form that show and have implemented them in my own life which i'm really proud of.
Although actually i also get really annoyed at the fact that rah chalta koi bhi admi unki baat sun
leta hai aur unki baat maan bhi leta hai
... 😕...this i feel is totally over unrealistic because it's not as if anyone would actually do that.
I guess its in ones capability but even then, they will have one flaw at least because not everyone is perfect.

I definitely see your point. I also have many discussions with my mom about the ideal bahus and my mom is always telling me to be like them but I know that NO ONE can be that great to sacrifice their entire lives for their family and not utter a single complaint. But I do try to incorporate some aspects into my life like being caring and sharing with all those around you, helping others and supporting them in their lives. The characters in the serials are different; they have no life goal other than making their family happy and keeping all of them intact, they don't have careers or friends and they never watch tv or read a book. All they do is fight evil and that is what makes them so unreal. But this serial and baa bahu aur baby and other easy going serials have a common theme that we all relate to: be happy and make others happy in simple ways. There is no evil doer that is always going to be out to get you, evil comes in many forms and we deal with it like humans not like a devi or devta would. And since we deal with it like humans, we are bound to make mistakes. Always being right is silly, making a mistake gives a chance to learn and to grow beyond that and move onto the next hurdle.

Now as a watch the show, I see some aspects of humanism in Krishnaben. She feels and she cries, I only wish that she wasn't so devi like, always giving silly bhashans to everyone on the sadak. 😉

I agree, as the episodes go i think we'll see the much more human side of her. I have to say that in todays episode she was amazing. I liked the face that she was able to answer back, actually instead of letting it go for her kids sake.

I couldn't be bothered to read the essays above, but I have seen the first two episodes of Krishnaben Khakhrawala, need to catch up to all of the episodes though.

I think this show is really quite different, I mean you hardly ever see them dancing and singing - something I found a bit different, not that I liked it to be honest, but its just something I'm not used to.

It's a very light show I feel, like always very happy, never like intense drama or anything. I feel Krishnaben is a bit like Happy-Go-Lucky woman, she seems to have pulled through a lot that has gone wrong and she continues to solve problems very easily. Her advice is amazing too. The other thing I love is when she says "Jai Ambe, din kar de Lambe". She's such a loving mother!

However, the way the serial is portrayed, with the continuous "Krishnaben Khakhrawala" song played, I didn't like, plus the dancing. But its good enough to keep me watching, otherwise I give up after the first episode! Its just not a depressing drama, something nice to watch.

satvik about song thing i think this is new trend is going on with sony's all drama because the same dancing and song playing is going on in baat pakki also.....
but in whole i liked krishna ben it portraits how strong mother she is but when she is alone she is very fragile and lonely....and for her kids she is always wearing this mask of strength.....to give them moral support and because of her strength ....her family has been saved from shattering.....and how she is living with the memories of her husband....and getting all her strength....
and about jai ambe chanting......she is getting strength from god....its like when you are distress and sad ....if you have trust on god....you get confidence that god is there to help us so we will face any situation and god will protect us..in time of need....that give ease to your mind and strength to fight those difficult situation.....that's what they have tried to portrait it....
