Actor Nausheen Ali Sardar does not believe in adhering to stereotypes. Refusing to get caught in the saas-bahu web, the actor ventured to do a Pakistani show and has now begun shooting for a Pakistani film titled 'Main Ek Din Laut Kar Aaoonga'. Directed by Javaid Fazil, she's been paired with Pakistani actor Humayun Sayyad. Interestingly, the film is being shot in India.
Nausheen says, "As the title suggests the film is hinged on revenge and deceit. It's a love triangle revolving around Humayun, actor Pooja Kanwal and me."
Incidentally, Nausheen had earlier worked with Humayun for the show 'Ana'. "He's a nice person and very popular in Pakistan. This is a clean project and will be a plus for my portfolio."
Quiz her on whether her look would be conservative in the film and Nausheen reveals, "In fact, I have shot a glam number. The music has been recorded here with Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan. When I shot for the serial I was not allowed to wear half-sleeves. I had to cover my hands with a dupatta. But it's not so in the film."
Ask her on why she has stayed away from TV, considering that it was her claim to fame and Nausheen reasons, "There are no good scripts. TV has become stagnant." What about Balaji which made 'Kkusum' an icon of sorts? "Balaji is the number one production house. I started my career with it for which I'll always be grateful. I have not forgotten my roots. But there are some people who are trying to create misunderstandings between Balaji and me."
The actor, who is looking forward to the release of her films 'Vansh' and 'Marathon', is also upset with alleged link-ups with co-actors. "I hate being linked with anybody. It spoils a girl's image."
