-Amit Sadh
To fulfill his cherished dream a young sweet boy, all of 24 years, decides to move out of his home in a search of his identity. Who likes the adventure sports and wants to make his own name in the tally-land that's our Amit Sadh better known as Ady.
Amit did his schooling from Lucknow Boarding School. Since his childhood he was interested in sports, he represented the Calcutta in soccer games. Whatever he thought to do he did without thinking twice. A very strong-headed person, he had travelled from the Himalayas to Mumbai on bike, had done rock climbing for months together and had almost found his destiny in the mountains when suddenly one fine day he packed his bags and came to Delhi. Once during the Hindi play rehearsal his other mates made fun of him, as he was not fluent in Hindi. He took this thing as a challenge and within one year he produced the Hindi play of his own with the same people as actors in it.
He had taken formal training in mountaineering from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi & the Nainital Mountaineering Training Club. Amit had traveled the length and breadth of India on bike and now intends to undertake his biggest expedition ever – riding a bike from Mumbai to the Saichen. Chilling isn't it?
Amit quit education half way and came down to Mumbai at the early age of 20, to try his luck to fulfill his passion of acting and sports. Soon he joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Academy. During those times Neena Gupta was looking for the new face for her serial Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr. He went in for an audition of small role but soon they ask him for another screen test and he got his first big break. His debut character Aady made him a star overnight, so much so that even after quitting the serial, people still call him Aady. Fortunately, his cute boy-next-door looks got noticed almost. But during the shooting of Kyun Hota... period he met with an accident and dislocated his shoulder. He dropped out of serial and came only at the end of serial for 5-6 episodes.
Then he grabbed the role in Zee's Awaaz, which was one of his memorable roles. He says, "The character in Awaaz has been the most amazing character I played till date. The kind of hard work and effort I put in that character, I had never did it for any other show. For four months I grew my beard and mustache, I had become dark shooting under the sun and it is one of the challenging roles which each actors would love to do". According to him he never likes to comprise to do any kind of roles.
Later on he got serials like Sony's Saaksshi, Koi Dil Mein Hai, Zaroorat hai in Sahara and presently working in Star one's 'Guns and roses'. This young lad always wanted to work in one serial at a time and wants to put maximum effort on it. According to him, "Money was never a matter for me. I always wanted to work in a professional atmosphere. I don't follow any rules like other actors who work round the clock to earn money".
He worked with Balaji's Koi Dil Mein hai and left it midway as he thinks the work atmosphere was quite unprofessional. At that same time he also admire Ekta Kapoor for her success at such a young age. In near future he says if anything falls in proper place he may work with Balaji's again. He always wants to live his life fully and wants to give importance to life. He believes in quality living. He never wanted to work day and night like other actors. According to him he always wanted to give time for other passion of his life i.e. adventure sports and says if he is free he may like to ride from Mumbai to the Saichen. "No one has ever undertaken this journey but I want to. I don't know when I will be able to achieve this dream but I am confident it will happen at the right time. Basically I love challenges of life," says Amit.
Presently he is very much enthusiastic about his role from the serial Guns and Roses, where he is playing a lead role of a guy with the dual personality. He thinks this role is one of the best roles till date he made. He had already done 3-4 telefilms for starworld.
Adding his wish is to now work with some big directors in the film industry. "I have been getting offers and may soon take up a couple of films. But I am going to follow the same principle in films too that I have practiced in television - do little work but work that people would remember you for". When asked whether he wants to do the lead role or a character role he says, "Beggars cannot be choosers"
A passionate performer, both on screen and off it too!
