Circuit short-circuits Karan
Karan Kundra may have his legion of admirers, and is familiar with the ways of stars, but the television star was gobsmacked when faced with Munnabhai's sidekick Circuit outside of his judge's chair.
Karan is burning up the floor currently in STAR Plus' Zara Nachke Dikha. He says that Arshad Warsi aka Circuit, who plays judge on the show, came backstage and disarmed him with his friendliness. "Everyone knows about my dancing ability and so I was nervous about my introductory dance and then the group act. After the relief of the performance, I was very surprised to see Arshad Warsi coming backstage. He strolled over just to give me some tips and even took me through a few steps," says Karan, "he was very friendly and he didn't have any airs about being a Bollywood actor. After a chat about the steps he told me about his early days when he had started doing choreography. Then he just cheered me on by saying: 'just work hard and show your best to the world'. He told me I had potential as a dancer and he wished me all the best."
Such friendliness from one of his idols was a great surprise to Karan. "I am happy that the judges are very sweet. They just look harsh on-screen but off-screen they are very encouraging!"
Don't forget to check out Karan Kundra's performance (and see if Arshad's tips helped!) this weekend at 9 pm only on STAR Plus.
