The love stories have always made it to the top and when it comes with a youthful charm then it is sure to rock the television world. The same trick has been applied by 'soap queen' Ekta Kapoor when she launched her romantic soap 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai' on Imagine TV on January 19, 2009. It was a runaway success with fresh faces Kritka Kamra and Karan Kundra as the lead pair. Their onscreen chemistry got transformed into real life and it reflected on their performance.
After an eight month journey full of twists and turns, the show concluded on September 25, 2009. However, by this time, Karan and Kritka had already made millions of fans, who wanted them to be back with the show again. TellyCafe.com received hundreds of thousands of messages, posts, and requests to get their favorite pair Arjuhi back on the airwaves. So, on public demand, Ekta planned a second season of the show but with a different story as the first season showed a happy ending.
A lot of promotional activities were done before launching the second season of 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai' and the viewers were reminded about the wonderful chemistry of the characters Arjun and Arohi. The channel aired the promotional trailers in a very different manner with the tag line 'Wohi Jodi, Nayi Love Story'.
Finally, 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2' started its journey on Imagine TV at 8pm on 1st November, 2010 with a completely different story but it kept one thing constant and that is the lead pair and their names. New families were introduced and Arohi was presented as a bubbly girl, who has a huge family full of police officers. On the contrary, Arjun's family is full of white collared gangsters and he is very quiet and an introvert. And the interesting thing is that when the world knows Arjun's family as a business family, it is only Arohi's grandfather, who knows the dark truth behind their clean image.
The world of Arohi revolves around her typical Punjabi family and her loving mom. But as expected they are destined to collide at some point of time but under the most unfavorable circumstances. They first meet in a hotel but Arjun was in disguise so she could not recognize the real person behind that. She is a hardcore romantic girl and thinks that her grandmother's prophecy will come true one day. Her grandmother tells her that she will fall in love at the first sight of a man and that man will be her love for life.
Arjun meets Arohi once again when they both end up arriving at the same club but with different partners. She comes with Cheeku, a guy whom her family has chosen for her and Arjun comes with Rashi. But luck is in their favor so they end up dancing together as they were chosen as the couple after random numbering. In fact, Cheeku fails to impress her with his unique style of proposing her by putting the ring in her drink. She rather gets choked and Arjun comes as a savior.
The pundit of Arohi's family says that she will meet her love on this particular evening and he tries to give Arohi the impression that he is the guy. But Arohi is not very sure of it and asks for some time. She keeps thinking about the stranger she met in the evening even when she was asked about her reaction on Cheeku.
Whatever be the circumstances but destiny is constantly trying to bring them together again and again. Moreover, they could not be friends yet so one will have to wait for some more time to see the romance getting started. So far, the audience has been very kind to the second season in spite of facing huge competition from other established shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Jhansi Ki Raani'. However, 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai' has yet its own group of loyal viewers and no other shows can divert their attention till the spark of Arjun and Arohi is working.
The second season has brought some new faces like Danish Pandor, who plays Mikhail Singhania, the eldest brother of Arjun. It also has seasoned actors like Mohan Kapoor, who plays Arjun's father Rudra Pratap Singhania.
Considering the current storyline, it seems that the script will take another few months to start the romantic track between the lead pair. However, till then, the story must keep their loyal viewers attracted to their television sets with interesting twists and turns or they may end up losing interest! We hope, the makers have their master mind working behind it and the viewers will not be disappointed.
So, don't miss the unusual romantic story on Imagine TV at 8pm from Monday to Friday. 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2' has lot to offer you in the coming days
