Who Likes Me?!

When are you going to tell her?', asked Prem while walking with Preet on the beach.

Preet: I don't know PB. What if she does not like me the same way?

Heer: You will have to today. Otherwise I am not approving my sister for you anymore.

Veera: Bhabi, you go girl! Come on Preet bhaiya, you are going to her now okay?

Nihal: Yes after all we all kind of ditched my sister so that you could go and confess.

Herman: Ab ja Preet warna aj tujhe pakka lath padegi tere dono bhai aur jeeju se. (Now go Preet otherwise you will be surely get kicked by your brothers and brother in law today)

Preet: Okay okay I am going guys. I just hope Meher does not freak out.

Meher...Meher Maan, Heer and Nihal' s younger sister and the youngest member in the Maan Family. Meher happened to visit the Juneja Mansion a lot which was not only the in laws house of her siblings but also the house of her father's all time best friend, her Lalit chachu. As the two families bonded so well even after so many years, Meher found a best friend for herself there. Preet, who else? The youngest son of the Juneja's definitely was a perfect friend for her as they understood each other like no one else. Everyone of the two families admired their bond and Gayatri even a had secret wish in her mind to make Meher her youngest daughter in law in future. I would say, Gayatri Juneja was not alone with her wish, even her son wanted the same in his heart. Yes, Preet Juneja was deeply in love with Meher Maan and it had been a long time since he developed those strong feelings. The first one to suspect Preet's feeling was his PB and when Prem told Heer about it, they decided to ask Preet to be sure. It was not really easy to make Preet accept but finally the sharp eyed Juneja accepted his feelings for Meher. Afte all, it was really difficult for Preet to lie to his PB and Heer bhabi. From that day to till today it had been almost 4 months but Preet had not confessed yet. Along with the time, Veera, Nihal and Herman also came to know about Preet's feelings and Nihal even had an one hour of serious talking session with Preet about his sister's good care and happiness. Protective elder brothers, as usual. Preet got so nervous that even Nihal laughed out with everyone when he saw Preet trembling and stammering. Well, this incident was also almost 2.5 months old. The gang had tried to make Preet confess a lot of times but everytime he would back out. So, seeing no way out, the gang planned a hangout on the beach that night while they were on a family tour in Goa and at that moment when the conversation above was taking place, they seemed very determined to kill Preet if he would not confess to Meher that night.

On the other hand, Preet knew his family was right. It was high time he should confess. It had been actually a long time and the more delay he would make the more chances of her to like someone else would increase. But the question which made Preet so nervous was that what if she said a no. Preet just jerked the thought off his head and walked towards the bonfire where Meher was seen to be sitting alone.

Preet: Hey Meher!

Meher: Hey Preet! Do you know where are the others?!

Preet: Umm no I think. *Rubbing his forehead* Bore ho rahi ho kiya? (Are you bored?)

Meher: Well if your family and best friend leave you suddenly alone around a bonfire, I don't think it is supposed to be something enjoyable.

Preet: Oh uh yeah, my bad. So can I sit beside you?

Meher: haan betho na, ye kaisa sawal hain Preet?! (Of course sit, what kind of a question is that Preet?!)

Preet: Umm Meher? I think we both know each other since 2 years right? I mean after we came back from Canada.

Meher: Yeah why do you ask?

Preet: Because I have something to tell you. *Being nervous*

Meher: Haan bolo na? (Yes tell me?)

Preet: Do you..do youu...do you like Herman bhai? *Stammers being nervous*

Meher: Kiya?! (What?!) *Surprised*

Preet: I mean as a lawyer. You are an intern of him so I asked you know?

Meher: Yes of course. In fact everyone likes him, he is very technical and on point at his job. *Makes a confused face*

Preet: Yeah? Nice and what about him as a human? Do you like him as a human too?

Meher: Huh?! Wait, Herman likes me?! *Makes a weird and shocked face*

Preet: Would you be happy if he does?

Meher: No! No no no, I mean I don't mean in that way. Herman is really a great but I never felt like that. Like never at all.

Preet: Really?! *Smiles brightly*

Meher: And why are you so happy on that?! *Confused face again*

Preet: Because Herman bhai does not like you like that but there can be someone else from the family you know?

Meher: Would you stop talking in riddles and tell me who is it Preet? *Irritated tone*

Preet: Do you like Viren in that way by any chance? *Gulps being nervous*

Meher: Viren likes me?! *Almost screams out making a more shocked face than Herman's time*

Preet: Well no. I was just making sure if you like Viren by any chance.

Meher: *Grabbing his collar getting real annoyed* Preet Juneja, if you don't tell me properly the next time you open your mouth that who is it, trust me, I am going to cut you into million pieces.

Preet: Okay okay, I love you...*Blabbers out the line real quick being nervous*

Meher: What?! *Letting go his collar* Kiya kaha tumne?! (What did you say?!)

Preet: I love you, I love you a lot Meher Maan.

Meher just pressed her lips together and smiled closing her eyes.

Preet: Do you like me back the same way?! Tum aise has kyun rahi ho?! (Why are you smiling like that?!) Trust me this time whatever I said was serious. Not like the Herman bhai and Viren one. Look I can explain, I was so nervous and a such nice girl like you can really get anyone you...

Meher just opened her eyes and hugged Preet tightly to make him stop blabbering. Preet at first was really surprised but within seconds he hugged her back in the same way. And after a while they heard sounds of clapping. They broke the hug only to find the gang standing there and smiling at them.

'O ho, lagta hain ek aur Juneja and Maan wedding hain jald hi' (O ho, seems like another Juneja and Maan wedding is going to take place soon), said Heer beaming with happiness and everyone laughed out. Meher blushed on that and looked away. Preet took her hand in his and pulled her into a side hug.

Preet's confession was so cute and it felt so natural actually. You've perfectly described the emotions he was feeling at this moment. He was so skeptical that she would refuse.😳 How adorable! His feelings for her are deep and true... and the gang didn't help him ... they blackmailed him haha! 😆

Lol so Preet wanted to be sure if Meher didn't have any feelings for Harman of Viren! Epic! 🤣

Just loved the way Meher replied him back. and their hug was just magical! SO MUCH FEELS!
