Chapter 6
Prem let Heer to come in his house. He was still thinking about what truth he had hidden from Heer. He had hidden more truths from her. He hid the fact that, he loved her. He hidden the fact he intentionally removed himself from her life. He hidden the truth that, he was now feeling uncomfortable to act with her as his feelings for her complicated things for him.
"Prem, tumse meri ye ummed nahi thi, tum kitne sari baate mujh se chupayi. Ha mana ki aaj hum dono ko bitch zyda communication nahi hein, lekin ek zamana wo bhi thi jab tum meri sabse accha dost the. Kya dostse aise baat chupata the." Heer told Prem.
When Heer mentioned the fact how once they were best friends, Prem felt pain in his heart. Yes, there was a time when he was completely involved in her life. Everyday Prem moaned silently for ending the friendship with Heer, for losing the opportunity to meet her. However, at the same time he realized that, his decision to remove himself from Heer's life was a correct decision as he knew he would not be able to tolerate the pain that would come from seeing her with another guy.
"Heer tum batao ti sahi meine tumse kya chupaya?" Prem asked Heer.
" Kaun se baat se shuru karu mein Prem. Paheli sacchayi jisko tum pichle no saal se mujh se chupani ki koshish ki wo hein ki tumhi wo insan the jisne mujhe Anokha rishta serial mein replace hone se rokha tha." Heer told Prem.
" Heer meine aisa kutch nahi kya, ha wo log jara irritated the tumhe lekar par wo replacement ki khabar sirf rumour tha." Prem replied.
"Prem mujhe to ye sacchyi bahut pahele maloom chal gayi thi iss liye jhoot maat bolo, Prem tum janteho agar uss waqt mein replace ho jati to aaj meri koi career nahi hoti, tumne meri liye jo kiya tha wo meri career bacha li, lekin mujh pe itne badi ehasan karne ki baat bhi tum kabhi mujhe ye baat nahi batayi.
Jante ho ye baat mujhe dusro se pata chali show khatam hone ki baad, tum to meri dost the na to ye baat mujh se kyun chupayi?" Heer asked Prem.
Prem knew he had to confess that it was he who mainly saved Heer from getting replaced.
He could still remember that day when there was a speculation that Heer would be replaced.

8 June 2008
Prem was returning from the set after his shooting, suddenly he stopped his track after he heard one of the production manager was telling the reporter over the phone that, Heer would be replaced as female lead in Anolha rishta.
Prem was surprised after hearing the news. He knew that in recent days some distance had created between Heer and Production house, however he did not think that they would try to replace her.
"Kya aap iss serial female lead ko replace karna chahati hein? " Prem asked Production manager.
"Prem, aab tum jab jan hi gaye ho, to chupake kya fyda. Ha hamne soach liya ki iss serial ki female lead mein change hona chahiye." Production manager replied to Prem.
"Kyun?" Prem againasked him.
" Kyun nahi, tumne dekha Heer har din 12-13 ghante ki work schedule maintain nahi kar pa rahi hein, wo shooting mein aane me deri karti hein. Uska acting bhi thoda raw hein. Iss liye hum soach rahe ki usko replace kar diya jaye."Production manager told him.
" Aap ko nahi lagta ki aap thoda harsh hein uski parati, ha mein mangti hu usse 12-13 ghante ki work schedule maintain karne mein difficulty ho rahi hein, kabhi kabhi usse aane mein 20-30 minute deri ho jati hein, kabhi kabhi wo ye kahe deti ki chay saat ghante heavy dress parna uski liye tough hein, ha mein manti hu wo apni acting aur bhi tez kar sakti hein.
Lekin shayed aap ye baat bhul ja rahe ki ye uska paheli serial hein aur isse pahele itne tough situation mein kam karne ki uski experience nahi hein. Ek naye actor ke liye 12-14 ghante ki work schedule maintain karna ek learning process hein, ye baat uski der se ane ki bare mein bhi khat the hein.
Aur rahi baat uski acting ki to aap bhi ye baat se inkar nahi kar sakte ki uski andar acting talent hein. Ha uska acting thoda raw hein lekin aap bhi dek rahi ki har ek episode mein uski acting behatar se behatar hote ja rahi hein.
Aapni talent se wo khud ki ek fan base gar liya hein.To mere maniye to aap ko thoda aur considerable hona chahiye tha" Prem told the production manager.
"Prem it is a corporate world, yaha par hume emotion se nahi reality se kam karna parta hein." Production manager told Prem.
"Aap agar reality ke bare mein baat kar raha hein to ek reality to ye bhi hein na ki mera aur Heer ka onscreen jodi ko viewers ne pasand kiya hein, hamara show ki high trp ki ek badi wajah hein. Agar aap Heer ko replace karenge to viewers ye change shayed nahi accept karenge. " Prem tried to convince the production manager.
" Ha thoda risk to hein, lekin hum ek aise actress ko le ayenge female lead ke liye jo pahele se established hein, jaise ki Tara Shukla, Niharika Patel, Mahfuza Sheikh.
Dekho ek strong female actor bahut jarurat hein agar hum chahate hein ki serial ek do saal tak chale. Aur faisala ho choki hein Prem, upar se, Kiran Kapoor mam ne already initial decision le liya hein Heer ko replace karne ki bare mein." Ptoduction manager informed Prem.
Prem realized that, there was no more point in arguing with the production manager. If he did not want Heer to be replaced then he had to talk with Kiran Kapoor.
Flashback end
"Dekho Heer wo koi badi baat nahi tha, mujhe jyda takleef nahi hui un logo ko convince karne mein, aur dekho mera khud ka bhi to kutch swarth tha kya pata agar tumhare badle mein kisi aur se jodi bandhta to mujhe shayed best jodi ki awards nahi milte." Prem tried to lighten the mood by giving small smile after saying that.
" Prem lagta hein tum meri baat acche se samjhe nahi, aaj mein yaha kutch jawab janne ayi hu, tumhe meri sawal ka sidha jawab dena padega, tum has kar iss topic deflect nahi kar sakte.
Prem mein janti hu ki tumhe kitne khatinayi ka samna karna pada mujhe replacent se bachane ke liye. Aur Prem tumhara character Aniket already bahut popular ho gaya tha aur uss waqt mein bilkul nayi thi.
Pahele char panch mahino mein serial ka pura zimmedari tumhari upar tha, aur cvs ne bahut sari established actress ko bhi chun ke rakhete mukhe replace kar ne ke liye.
Prem tum ne kyun aisa kiya ye meri liye janna bahut jaroori hein. Tumhe hamari bite din ki dosti ki kasam bataoo mujhe sabkutch." Heer demanded.
Prem knew he had to tell her now. Prem realized that, Heer won't leave him alone without getting an answer.
Prem went back to his memory lane. He could still remember that day.

" Prem, I must say I was surprised when I learned about you want to meet me today, any problem? " Production house head Kiran kapoor asked Prem.
" Madam, I know your time is very valuale, therefore I will not beat around the bushes. Madam please tell me, is it true that Heer would be replaced in Anokha Rishta?" Prem asked.
"Yes, it is true that, we are considering to replace Heer in Anokha Rishta. Prem, you know in my show strong female lead is very essential, but it has been four months since Anokha Rishta's first episode and Heer is still not upto the mark. Yes, I can see talent in her but I also see impatinence in her.
Prem, you know very well the fact that till now you are mostlycarrying the burden of the show on your shoulder, which is remarkable for a male lead but I think you need a strong female lead to share your burden." Kiran Kapoor replied.
" Madam may be what you are saying is true but I want to request you to give Heer another month." Prem requested.
" Why?" Kiran asked Prem.
" Madam, I think we can agree that, Heer is talented. You choose her among hundreds of girls because of her talent, threfore I think we can give another chance to your chosen female lead.
Heer is totally new in this industry and she does not have any geniune friend to guide her. Besides that, replacing a female lead is a very risky bet, the audience may not accept the new actress." Prem told her.
"You are right introducing a new female lead in Anokha Rishta may become problematic but we cannot continue with Heer if she continue her attitude." Kiran Kapoor told Prem.
"Please madam give her one chance for a month, I will talk with her and try to guide her. Please madam I am asking for a favour, please do it for me." Prem told her.
"Ok, I will do it, but answer me one question, Prem Juneja, do you love Heer Maan?" Kiran Kapoor asked him.
