Yes I feel she was a bad captain. There are a few things that she didn't consider, that she should have. And there are a few things that she didn't do, that she should have. I'm just going to list them out with my explanations.
- Choose correctly - She chose incorrectly for almost each task. At the beginning of Saturday's episode, Rohit had said that some stunts are about balance, some about strength, and some about willpower. Yet she just chose incorrectly for each. For the first stunt (the balancing stunt), Geeta was absolutely the wrong choice because she has more strength and willpower. Then Hina chose herself for the truck stunt, which again was incorrect because it was more about strength, while she has more balance and willpower. And finally she selected Nia and Lopa for the last task. In my opinion that again was wrong. This stunt was about communication and balance and for that Monica was absolutely one person who should have gone. The other could have been either Geeta or herself only because Nia and Lopa have proven again and again that they just don't listen to the instructions correctly even.
- Blame game - The moment Geeta lost, Hina chose to berate her indirectly. When she herself tied, she just said that at least she didn't lose. When Monica lost, Hina berated her indirectly. What I found ironic was that she didn't once say anything to Nia or Lopa for losing. Then in the elimination stunt, she played the blame game again and said that because Monica and Geeta lost their stunts, she chooses them (once again conveniently putting Nia and Lopa's loss aside).
- Played favourites - As I mentioned above, she didn't once berate Nia or Lopa. In fact she kept going at the fact that Geeta lost her first task and that she will send only those who are strong. What she forgets is that Geeta has always performed well in her stunts and in fact always come first.
- Escaped the sinking ship - As a captain, it was her duty to ensure that her team won and when they lost, she should have taken full responsibility and gone for the elimination stunt because it was her bad direction that made the team lose. Yet she absolved herself of all wrongdoing and claimed that at least she tied her stunt.
I'm not saying that Manveer was a good captain. He made mistakes as well, but at least he didn't take all the credit or play the blame game. And I have a feeling that if the boys had ended up in the elimination round he would have named himself for the elimination stunt along with one of the other boys (most likely Ravi).
Anyways that was my two cent. But this weekend I absolutely did not like Hina.
